Have any of you had any close calls with your hair? (for example, catching it on fire, getting it sucked into a fan, closing it in the car door with someone about to drive away.... etc)
The only time i've had a problem is when i accidently lit a bit on fire a while ago while melting some foam for a R/C airplane. Unless you count that one time my dad threatened to shave my head in my sleep!!! lol XD
I've burned my hair from smoking a few times, just the front bangs when the wind blows. I've also had a few hairs catch on a Dremel rotory tool and rip out.
Never had gum or glue stuck to my head (knocks on wood).
OOHH!!! I totally forgot about my worst hair-mergency!!!
One bus ride home when i was a freshman, there was a kid by the name of kevin who was mentally disabled. He was sitting towards the front of the bus. Some people at the back of the bus were egging him on, and he took out his gum and threw it at the kids. Naturally, because of my luck, it hits me in the back of the head (i was sitting towards the centre of the bus). It took ALL of my strength to keep from panicing!!! lol
Fortunately for me, after an hour in the shower with peanut butter, the gum was completely out of my hair. Now im really careful about things like that!!! haha
Wow, so you actually got it out without having to cut huh? I'll have to remember the peanut butter trick just in case.
I haven't had any close calls, but a friend of mine has had his hair a bit on fire. It was after a party in the dark, he was trying to find something and another friend offered to help him with light from his lighter.. A few hairs burned, but the damage wasn't too bad. The only really bad thing was the smell, lol.
