I want long hair but my mom and dad always make me cut it when it gets to my ears and it always flips at that length. I work on cars at my school so I would fit in nicely if I go through with it, I don't plan on puttig it in a ponytail I will just wear is loose under my hat and behind my collar because I plan to only let it grow to just below my sholder blades(1-5in)and I will do this until people get use to it. What shold I do, should I defie my parents and go for it???
Go For It Dude!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I was seventeen when I started growing my hair long.. My Mother and Dad scorned it to began with but after I showed them I could keep it neat and clean, they relented..
I wouldn't 'defy' them, I just ask them if they would let you give it a try and see how it looks.. Find pics of guys with the style you'd like and show them how it'd look-- for example..
Give it a try.. If it is what you want, do it!!
I agree. Don't defy your parents. If you do grow it long, don't forget to put your hair in a sock or something before getting your hands greasy. I got this idea from John Muir who wrote that book on Volkswagen repair for the compleat (I think that's how he spelled it) idiot.
Tell your folks how much money they'll save from the barber! Well they may say that you'll be wasteful in shampoo but they are much definitely cheaper than haircuts!!!!
My father was in the military and hated long hair on guys. For years he would not let me grow my hair, until the paperboy in our new neighborhood changed his mind. He had long hair and was so nice to my Dad that he let me grow it. For years after that I had short hair and now I have long hair. My long hair actually tripled my business, as I am in the entertainment industry and the long hair made me look more artistic! I am so glad that I don't have to have short hair! E-mail me if you want a pic, and let your parents know that long hair won't kill any job prospects and I assure them it is not a feminine thing to do, but a natural thing to do.
