I thought this would be a fun idea:to post short haired pics of ourselves,just to see how far we've come in our journey to longhairedom!!!the pic above was taken summer '05,I got one last haircut after that,in August '05,so my hair was a little bit shorter than that when I started...:P

You seriously look better with long hair. Your face looks a bit different in that pic. I guess longer hair really does make a huge difference. Cool smile by the way. :-)
i agree with you lol!!!my face is a little different,don't know why...I do look better with long hair!!too bad most of the women nowadays would disagree with you and I.to hell with them, I guess :P

And you serioulsy not only look better (of course IMO) with longer hair, but you look much younger too!
(although that being said you don't look old in your short hiared pic, just in comparison to how u look now)
Most importantly though, longhair seems to suit your personality as well and it makes u happy, so a double bonus :)

I like the beard too much to shave it off. It gives me a lot of protection from cold which can partially paralyze my facial muscles. Also, shaving is extremely unpleasant for me, it leaves my skin raw.

Not nearly as much history to cover here, but this was me back in May 2006 with a 1/2 inch buzz. I didn't normally have it at this length, but it was a nice convenience for a camping trip.

Tin whistle!!! Cool to see that. I play tin whistles/Irish flutes/uilleann bagpipes in a few Celtic/Norse folk fusion bands. Glad to see other players!

I actually haven't been playing much as of late (too busy). Unfortunately I make mostly noise, but occasionally some music emerges. ;-) As you well know, if you're not gentle with the whistle it just squeeks like mad!

The first pic is of me when i was on my way to Crete, Greece when i was about to finish 9th grade with my class, that time i dyed my hair Jet black, but i didn't start my longhair journey that year, i just took this pic because i couldn't find any other pic of me with shorter hair, although i think i've had a buzzcut when i was even younger if i remeber correctly.
Here's one from before- taken in February 2004 (I started growing my hair in October 2004.)
And here's a couple from the last month-

You should see my picture at the same location; I was a bit younger also (circa 1963)! Since it was summer Dad let me grow my hair all the way out to a flattop back then. I was about to enter the 4th grade.
Quite a difference for a little over 8 months. I've lost a lot of weight and my hair is a few shades lighter.
This was taken May 13, 2006, the day after getting it cut. If anyone is into presidential politics, you may recognize the certain 2008 candidate on my right, who just happens to be my run-of-the-mill moonbat congressman from Colorado (no, I definitely do not endorse him):
