Heelo there guys!!
I decided not to post an update this month but I'm posting some toughts on the people that surround me and also a comparission picture of 2004-2007.
Anyways... you know I have always had a lot of trouble with my family dealing with my hair... I know that will be permanent and will never change but oh well. And the fact is that it's not the fact that being a boy that "hurts" my family feelings: it's my love for really really long hair =P The proof for this is that my parents don't like my sister's hair neither =S
BUT... there is something that makes me really happy and proud: in general, the people that surround me and my sister love our hair, and feel inspired to grow their own hair long =) I have a classmate at school that is always asking me stuff about hair and always complementing my hair. I even gave her a sample of the oil I'm using and she liked it so much that she bought a bottle for her =) This is really something for me =) As for my sister, all of her friends admire her hair a lot, and boys as well =) I feel really proud of taking care of her hair, and also very proud of my hair =) Despite the fact that our hair is not accepted really well on my family, it is accepted and apreciated by people in general =) Just today, a friend of my mother told me my hair shouldn't be on my head but on her's lol...
Oh the pride =P And to think I owe all this to you guys in some way... Thank you =)
Now here are the pictures I told you about =) This is the first time I'm posting a picture of me with short hair lol... I feel so much better now than how I did in that time... I feel like myself, like my drawings, like the way I dress, like my music... like me =)
I'm also posting a picture of my sister's hair that I took yesterday, after brushing her knots out and oiling it a bit... some of this days I won't need lamps on my house because her hair shines so much that can lighten up all the area lol Hope you like the pictures =) Thank you for everything!

I am really surprised to hear your parents do not like your hair, I though they were supportive as I thought I remember you saying a couple of months ago that your Mom was awfully good about your hair. Both yours and your sister's hair are AMAZING, and I have never seen such shine as in your sister's hair, I see what you mean about not needing any lamps lol!
However, its great to hear that you are getting so much support from people around you. You have come such a LONG ways from 2004!

Hi Joao, you have very impressive hair and i think that you suit good in bother short and long hair, and you sisters hair is amazing also, i don't think i've ever seen hair that looks as long and healthy as hers:)

Hey there João,
So saddening to hear about your parents' complete lack of enthusiasm for your hair. It was mentioned in another post, and I remember this as well, about your mother buying you some oil for your hair and how happy you were. That's a shame that they just can't accept you for who you are as their son.
The pictures look very good and you have much reasoning to be quite proud of your accomplishments and the way you choose to live your life. That's nothing to be sorry for. Remember that. =)

That's an awesome and dramatic comparison shot!
As for your sister......I need shades to look at her hair! I can't think of the right adjective that fully describes how beautiful her hair is in that picture. It's just so incredibly cool that you and her are both growing and caring for each other's hair together.
