hi folks,
I've been thinking about getting some tattoo's for quite some time.I beleive they will compliment my mane greatly, and I'll certainly more "unique" :P.I'm gonna put em in a non-visible area (shoulders),so that issues with employers won't arise.
this ain't the first time I've entertained the thought, far from it.in the past, though,I was too chicken to actually go through with it,because my conservative family would certainly freak out,and I don't have any friends with tattoo's,so I was self-consious in that regard.Bill is right though, when you grow hair, there's as much growth under the scalp as there is above it.I reckon if I don't do my own thing and follow the masses,I'll regret it!!!
ok,having said that...I'm totally clueless on where to look for designs and stuff like that.also,I have no clue about prices, color versus non color, and stuff like that.hopefully, there are guys here that traveled down the same road I am right now,and can point me in the right direction!!thanks in advance!! :))
Just a thought...
Make sure the tatoo place you go to is clean, as in very anal about sanitizing any insturaments used in tatooing. Last thing you want is getting a bad infection (which hurts as far as I heard) or even worse, getting HIV.
I have heard that to boose safety bring your own needle and let the tatto artist use that... but I dont know anything about that...
I dont know if I am going to get any tatoo cause I hate pain... even getting blood test freaks me out. Maybe see if you can get a temp tatoo airbrushed on you (I think actors use that to get realistic tatoos) which looks very real and lasts about a week. It would be better if there are stain patches that does it as well... That way you wear it when you want to and not wear it when conservatives demand it.
anal without protection also leads to HIV
Hey Jacob.
I have an idea , Fly down to miami and go to Lou's tattoo shop. They are the best in miami. Ok..seriously...jokes aside :-) You might want to check out this site for an idea of what you would like. http://www.bmezine.com/
I recommend you get a custom tattoo and not a flash design. Imagine you are walking down the street and see some dude with the same design you are sporting. That would really suck. Anyhow , Try to think of some design or something that has meaning to you. Make sure it has significance! Dont just get one because it looks cool. Thats all the advice i can give because i dont really have any myself. Good luck man
I'm sure you know what this is lol...it surely isn't anything that everybody's gonna ooh and aaah over, but hey...at least it has some significance to me,it's not randomly selected like other people's tattoos are.of course I'm gonna give it some more thought..I don't do impulsove things :))
That would make one heck of a tattoo! I am speculating that triple h must be your favorite wrestler.
of course!!lol..just look at the username...it's not like it's an impulsive decision,I've been a HHH fan ever since I can remember..it surely has withstood the test of time:))
who's your fav wrestler Chris? :)
Like i mentioned before. It use to be razor ramon. Then sting(corpse paint wcw era). Now , I think my top favorite would have to be kane. I also love the undertaker as well and triple h and shawn michaels and....sorry i got carried away. Yea i would have to say kane.
I have been a fan of jacobs ever since 1997. When he debuted as Kane. I remember him as deisel and the dentist(lawlers evil dentist) as well but never liked him much till they tranformed him into the hideous masked kane. I loved that feud he had with his brother(supposedly) undertaker. The 1998 royal rumble was priceless when he interfered undertakers match against the heartbreak kid then afterwards enclosed him in a casket and set his butt on fire! Oh! The good ol wrestling days. Is it me or was wrestling more interesting back then? Not implying that it still isnt but i think it was better back then. Better characters , feuds....etc......
you dont look like razor ramon....
Did I even mention that i looked like razor ramon?...... You always seem to have insignificant remarks :-(
you said you were razor ramon!
IMHO save your money. Focus on your hair. Caledonian.
hi folks,
any particular reason why I shouldn't go through with it??please let me know...
Hey - I've been looking for tattoo ideas myself. I've looked in book stores and on-line. So far I haven't found anything that I like. Most tattoo artists can draw something for you from scratch and/or using an example that you bring in. Recently I saw a design I liked at a shop down at the beach. The owner referred me to a publishing company that specialized in clip-art of different types. I am looking for a nautical theme. This company has books with designs from the 1800's era taken from original maps with compass roses, mermaids, wave crests, sea serpents, etc. Each book has a CD included and the photos are NOT copywrite protected. Hope this helps. try www.doverpublications.com

Here are some tattoo hints.
Never, ever, write your wife, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend, or significant other's name on your skin!
It's best to keep tattoos off the hand, forearm, face, and neck, especially if you have or might have a job in public or professional businesses.
Make sure your parlor is licensed. This improves the chance of sanitary conditions to prevent Hep A,B, & C, HIV, STD's, etc.
Ideals change. Are you sure you will want a marijuana leaf on your arm when you have are old and gray with lots of grandchildren? Do you want demons on your skin if you become religious or spiritual? Will you want that tattoo when you are wrinkled? How will it look? I once knew a woman that had a rose on her breast; by the time she was in her 60's, it had become a long-stem rose.
Tattoos are permanent. Removal is painful and VERY expensive.
The tattoo process is a bit painful, but it is also addictive. Can you stop at one or two?
Best wishes on whatever you decide. Also, how do tattoos, piercings, etc. express individualism when everyone is getting them?
TLH
The long stem rose statement was the funniest thing I've heard today! It's true though:P, only get a tattoo if you're willing to stick with it for the rest of your life.

Thanks. Great looking wavy hair! What is your goal? It will really look good when it gets a little longer. TLH
Here's an excellent site to learn about the pros and cons of tattooing and body modification... http://www.bmezine.com/. This site has some hard-core content, but it's about the best source around.
Just take the time to find a really good artist who uses quality inks. Most people really find that tattoos are addictive...you get one, and you want more :)
I just checked out your avatar, and tattoos would look great on you. How long do you want to grow out your hair?
Brad
Hi!
If you really want a tattoo I think you'll know inside already whether you will get one. If you're not sure, I would follow the two-year-rule (it's a bit like the hair two-week-rule but as you're dealing with something permanent here I'd leave it a bit longer). If the desire to get tattooed becomes overwhelming during that time, I'd go with it. I'd agree with everything that everone's said about registered tattooists, cleanliness etc. and also about not having standard 'flash designs'. Regarding the pain: on the upper arms the pain is minimal. Chest and near the nipple area - a living hell that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy!! I could only cope with half an hour at a time on my chest. Currently, I'm starting work on a full sleeve on my right arm - upper arm done - a mass of flames surrounding a Caduceus of Mercury (well, each to his own)!
Good luck!
