When in the "Awkward Stage," is there a time early on where it looks like your hair isn't growing anymore? For about the past month, it seems like my hair hasn't changed at all, with no new length that I can see, so I was just wondering if this is some kind of "Deception" sub-stage of the "Awkward Stage."
Hello Micheal,
I think it's normal when your hair is longer that you don't see the progress (that much).
When your hair is short you'll see it "immediately".
When I look back the past year I must say, that I really didn't realise any growing. I only see the progress when I look back ;)
Maybe that's your "problem"?
It's only an idea, but it really could be that your hair isn't growing, I heard of that once...
I didn't think my hair was growing either...until I noticed I could feel my ponytail brushing up against my neck.I couldn't feel it a couple months ago.so yeah...mini milestones like that help to break the "deceptions" of the awkward stage :))

That reminds me when if I turned my head quickly my tail would slap against my face. I told a fellow longhair friend about it and he said that he also noticed it with his tail and that it was great for swatting away flies "like a horse does". Lmao..
Actually I think it is deceptive.
There have been times over the last 14-15 months of growing from a buzz that I swore my hair wasnt changing. Then all of a sudden I hit a new "mini-milestone", such as noticing that my hair past my eyes, or that my bangs touched my lips.
Was was odd was that it seemed like it was stuck for a while, and then all of a sudden it grew that monthly halfinch overnight.
Clearly this isnt actually what happened but that's how it felt.
Just my personal observation
I had a period last year for a full 6 months where I didn't think my hair was growing, I was sure I had reached terminal length, possibly because I was abusing it by straightening almost daily, etc. When I discovered the MLHH in September, I learned how to care for hair better, and have noticed it has indeed grown over the past 3-4 months by a couple of inches, which is perfectly normal. Also, the longer hair gets, the harder it is to see a perceptible difference in length in a short period like one month.
