Hello everybody my name is ron.I just started growing my hair out 6 months ago from a fade my goal is to reach mid back.I have 2 questions i hope you guys can answer.1st is has anybody here used or heard of main n tail shampoo? Is it good for your hair make it grow strong?I use nioxin now it is really good but to expensive.2nd question how do i register here i look all the time and want to be a part of it. Thanks guys
Hair is dead(lifeless). regardless of the vitamins and fruit extracts a shampoo/conditioner may contain , I doubt it will affect your hair and make it stronger or grow faster. Some fruit extracts can actually make it shiny and soft but wont make it grow faster or stronger. You want strong hair , Take very good care of it. Mane n tail seems good to me. I am currently using it and it leaves my hair soft and manageable. Hope this helps.
I've heard LOTS of good things about mane and tail but sadly I can't find it in Nova Scotia, Canada. (tried Wal-Mart, grocery stores and drug stores)

I have used mane and tail. It's used on horses hence the name.I get mine at a store called Tractor Supply, have seen it at Wal Mart. You might try a feed store or other farm supply that sells live stock supplies.

Hey, David. I've seen it in Ontario at Shoppers Drug Mart. Perhaps you might have some luck there?

I gotta ask you though, what's nioxin?I've heard Biotin is good for the hair.and yes,I've heard good things about mane & tails too,I guess I'm gonna try that brand too pretty soon! :))
I certainly would not recommend it. I did try it a couple of times and it certainly cleans your hair and strips out all the natural oils and leaving it very dry and I certainly would not use it again.

I use mane and tail with out any problems
but I do not use it every day.
I use mane and tail almost exclusively now. They are not too expensive, are cone free, and leaves your hair soft. The shampoo is very strong, it will totally clean out your hair and leave it feeling kinda dry, so always use the conditioner, even if you have oily hair. I only condition the tail end of my hair since my scalp puts out lots of oil. I let the conditioner sit for a minute while I wash by body then rinse it out when finished. I would not leave it in because I tried it once, and it left my hair feeling very rough...
I've been using it on & off for some time now, with fairly good results. I tend to rotate through several shampoos & conditioners, my two current favorites being the Mane N' Tail and Aussie Moist. I shampoo every two or three days, but rinse and condition daily.
I also rotate through numerous leave-in conditioners, primarily using Garnier Length & Strength. Proper diet makes a difference in hair growth and strength, and I usually take a variety of vitamins and supplements including Centrum Performance & Biotin. I can't say for certain whether the results are measurable.
BTW, Mane N' Tail can be bought by the gallon quite reasonably at Petsmart's website...prolly at the store too. 8^) Check your local equestrian supplier.
As always, results will vary between individuals, you will eventually find the right products and regimine for you.

I found mane and tails at Carryfour here and they had those 32 oz bottles for really cheap... This could be the best thing since sliced bread...
