Hello guys ;)
I'm here with a new problem...
While disentangling my hair I lost VERY much hairs... more than normal.
Now I'm afraid that I could lose too much hairs.
100 hairs a day is normal I think. But it were more than normal...
Maybe I only lost more hairs today?!
I'm so desperate :(
Hi Neo,
you don't need to worry. Loosing more hairs while disentangling is normal. You can reduce hair loss by three techniques:
1) Always use some conditioner (Spülung) and (almost) never use shampoo.
2) Use some "anti-frizz serum" , sometimes called "anti split-ends fluid" (Anti-Spliss-Gel). This stuff is a colorless oily fluid containing dimethicone and cyclomethicone (also called "cyclopentasiloxane") and not much else. 30-50 ml should cost about 5-6 euros. This stuff definitely makes the disentangling process a lot smoother.
3) Always start disentangling at the distal-most end of the hairs, i.e. at the ends that are the furthest away from your head. Then work your way up to the scalp. Preferably, use a soft brush. Be gentle to your hair. Depending upon the situation, it may be better if you do all this yourself rather than having eg your mother do it. - Do your parents support your wish to grow your hair?
All the best!
Hans-Uwe
Thank you very much for the really fast reply Hans ;)
No, my parents think I'm crazy, gay and all that kind of stuff.
In fact my brother is gay and they always tell me how afraid they are that I could be it too. It's very annoying to hear that almost every day...
You said I should wash my hair with Conditioner only...
I heard about that method often, but... will my hair get clean!?
In conditioners the tenside part is much smaller than in shampoo...
Now the Anti-split-end-fluid:
Where do i get this? I never saw anything like that, do you know a company? I think in these things are silicons like in much shampoos...
Neo
Hi Neo,
you must be sitting at the computer right now... ;-)
this "Anti-Frizz Gel" should be available in any drug store, like Rossmann, DM, or others (Drogerie). - And, even if you only use conditioner, your hair WILL get clean. I'd use shampoo only once a week.
Next, if your parents have a problem with your brother's sexual orientation, you might tell them that even the current (conservative) pope has acknowledged that people do NOT choose (or consciously cause) their sexual orientation themselves.
Also, you could startle (erschrecken) your parents by musing (laut nachdenken) like "Well, maybe I AM a bit gay, and maybe I should go short again, because in the gay scene, short hair is the way to go." Maybe your dad will go like "Oh no, by all means, grow your hair, son, keep it long!" The truth, of course, is that hair length and sexual orientation are probably totally unrelated, apart from the current short-hair fashion in most gay scenes. - By the way, is your brother growing his hair long?
Another bit of off-topic info: Occasionally, young people who have always thought they were gay, suddenly discover the other sex, and vice versa. Late teens and early twenties are years of self discovery and identity building.
In any case, STICK TO YOUR HAIR! (but avoid unnecessary discussions whenever feasible)
All the best,
Hans-Uwe
Hey ;),
ok, I'll lok for that Gel next time...
No my brother has got neither short nor long ;)
Mine is much longer than his.
I'll grow my hair as long as it gets ;) I really love hair and want it to be long. It's one of my dreams.
Thank you
neo
Some hair loss, as Hans has pointed, is perfectly normal. Try also oiling your hair before washing with Jojoba / Almond /
Olive Oil. It works for me. It doesn't prevent from shredding already death hair, but prevents hair from breakage thus extending its life - it can get longer...
