Hi =)
Been reading this board for a week or so. Nice one. Found it when i googled some information about growing long hairs, hehe. Now desided to make my self "known" here =P
Maby a little bit of history of me and my hairs is in order. When i was a kid, i allways wanted to have long hairs, but i was never allowed, they allways cut it above my ears :/ Then i had to join army and had to get my hairs even shorter. Got stuck to that style for some years, untill maby 4 months ago i desided i'll grow my hairs long.
My main goal is to grow my hairs a little over mid-back, but not to weisth lenght, hope my "terminal lenght" will allow that. For now im happy to get it to shoulders.

You look quite good right now, but you'll look superb as your hair gains more and more length - just grow it forever and see where it takes you. Long hair looks perfect on you!
Out of curiosity: Do you live in a country that has the draft, or did you "have to" join the forces because of money and job?

Its the law in here that every man goes to army (woman can join if they want, tho not many of them do). Civil-service is an option if you dont want to go to army, but that sucks since it takes forever. Going to army is faster way to get rid of the "duty" (and get rid of your hairs too :'( ). So i went there because i had to :P

Out of curiosity: Which country is it? In most European countries, alternative civil service for conscentious oibjectors is a few months longer, but not like one or several years... Don't get me wrong, I'm not criticizing you, I did the regular service myself when it came to it, even though alternative service would not have been that much longer here in Germany - but that's a loooong time ago ;-)

Hey, welcome aboard, Chopper! You'll definitely love this board and will come to find lots of great information. Your hair will be awesome as it gets longer! My natural hair color used to be that blond, but it eventually turned darker as I got older. Such a shame... oh well. Again, welcome! =)

there's another guy from Finland who has awesome waist-length hair which he wears in a number of highly creative styles. His name is Jarkko. He used to post from time to time, and he used to have an outstanding internet gallery of all his hair styles. Unfortunately, he took it down over a year ago, probably because some bastards downloaded and used his photos in other contexts.

I understand that the Finnish society is very open and tolerant - which correlates well with the fact that Finnish students consistently score at the top of the international PISA assessment of the educational systems in many countries.

I guess finnish people are sorta open minded, at least when it comes to hairs. A friend of mine who had long hairs, said he got a lot of questions like "what's the name of your band?" and such. Heh, longhairs are thought to be "rockers" many times. But now im on my quest to find out "the truth" of that my self :D
