Mistaking the gender of someone on the first look is something that will be more frequent to my humble opinion. Women have crossed that boundary since a while now and no one is surprised anymore to see a women dressed and hair styled as a men. I think that we are going to see more and more men doing the same on the opposite and that is fine to me. I think that we should all go with what we feel to be and accept the others as they are - this would lead us to more a "open minded" society. The more we will feel that liberty and the more we will all be happy to be ourselves as we feel to be.
Personnaly I adore to be mistaken for a women because of my long hairs that I like to let loose all the time (except for work), I take that as a compliment. I receive nice compliment about my hairs from women once in while and this is just making my day. I like also to wear large loop earings and that is contributing for the mistake. I even go for some nails varnish when possible.
What I want to say here is that it is nice to feel that our society is changing and that the diversity of look is not only reserved for women and that men can also express their personnality. The other day when I saw this beautiful updo that was posted by Jarkko it made me want to try that also and I will when I will find the right person to help me on that.
Lets cross our finger in order that this society is continuing to open its mind.
Yours
Jean
