Let me first state this is not meant to be a political post. I'm sure longhairs can be found in various settings like metal concerts and other venues.
I participated in an antiwar demonstration today and of the males there I would have to say that at least 2/3 were longhairs or at least had longish hair. It just felt so cool to for once not be in the minority. I don't >i>mind being in the minority but it's nice occasionally to feel like you're not. I'm not trying to say that longhairs should have any political views one way or the other, I'm just stating what I saw and experienced today.
Maybe the longhair trend will continue and this will become commonplace. One can only hope.
Peace!
Hi Jason, I sure wish that I could have been there. As for longhairs, I think that it just reflects the type of people.
These type can think and reason for themselves and are not afraid to be "different" than the robots want them to be.
Glad You had a great experience.

Many moons ago, longhaired men were protesting a different war.
Yes, I remember that war all to well.

You know during vietnam many soldiers came to Taiwan because it is the best place to stage an offensive against Vietnam since its so close and being an ally to the US. I would think there would be hippies or at least people here would know about them... but they are hard to find... not sure why.

man, that must have felt awesome!!!!I wonder how it would feel to be in the same place with a bunch of longhairs..even better, how it would feel to be in the presence of all the regulars here!!I wish I get to meet you someday :))
What a wonderful posting Jason! I truly know of what you speak as being older than are you I remember well earlier days.
The posting of Luckskind below is fabulous!
Thank you Jason with sharing your experience with all of us.

ps: The pendulum seems to be swinging the other way now (from Buzz) towards longer and longer hair at present for men. At least in the area of which I live.
That MUST have been awesome, Jason! Slowly but surely we will see more and more longhairs everywhere. It has been a little slow happening in Halifax, Nova Scotia, but I do tend to see more and more longhairs and fewer buzzcuts out and around lately.
As Jacob said, it really would be awesome to have a bunch of us from the MLHH gathered together some day, I really would like to meet some of you guys.

Ah, it's just the cycle of life. You see it in fashion a lot. I'm sure long hair will some time again become normal like it was in ages past.
As for not being a minority - That's what I feel like among friends (who almost all have long hair) or at a concert (metal). It feels very good :-)
That must've been a great experience, it's always awesome meeting fellow longhairs (and fellow protesters, but thats off-topic).
I knew a guy who went to the DC march, he has short hair, I've gotta ask him if he noticed.
