does anyone know where I can find info on how to do my hair "a-viking"? Or even info on wheather or not vikings wore braids (like those seen on the mn vikings logo, or the movie "13th warrior)?

I am Asatru' and a Sons of Norway Lodge Member; The braids are somewhat accurate as Norsemen were from a colder climate. Long Hair/beards Kept one warmer. The braids made hair easier to deal with on long journies and in battle. The horns on the helmets are a myth which gained popularity in the "Valkyrie" operas by Wagnar. The horns were actualy Drinking horns found burried with armour with dead warriors.
