As my hair has started to grow out, i have found that it is becoming easier to part my hair in the centre. It has gotten to the point where i cant get the centre part to "un part" even when i try very hard. My question is, is parting my hair like this damaging the hair folicles on the part line, resulting in a permanent part?
First time posting here..
But let me say that i'm on my.. lets see, decided to grow hair after my haircut in late august so 5 months ago (altho i had a trim up back in nov. which i regret).
Anyways within about 2 months my hair wanted to part in the center too. I think it's more an issue of the hair is now long enough that it 'has' to pick a side to fall on (left or right) and so naturally the peak of your skull (center) will be where it parts more or less.
If I get out of the shower, dry up with a towel and don't touch it then it won't really part in the center but if i run my hands back through my hair, it will show signs of wanting to part in the middle.
I Don't think it's a damaged follicle issue.
Everyone has a natural parting but you can part it in any way you like.
It does not damage hair to part it in a certain way, because the next time you wash your hair, it will be back to the stage where you can part it anywhere again.
Hope this helps.
