Hey everybody!
Sorry I haven't been posting as much lately (although I'm still moderating :).
Blame the last year of my degree being in 2007 as well as my Personal Trainer qualifications being this year too.
BUT I am still loving my hair and treating her well. And I think my newfound summer tan goes nicely with it too!
As many of you know, my last total haircut was in 2003 after tremendous family pressure.
That was at the 2years5months stage, whereas NOW I am at 2 years and 11 months and 1 week --> Uncharted territory baby!
So there you have it, thanks to everyone for making this community what it is. As James said, it really is a privilege
to be able to be a part of this place and to post here.
And if you REAALY want to tell me how handsome I am, and how fantastic my hair is...well, I'll allow it :)
Congratulations on a great head of curly hair! The hair's looking awesome, how long are you hoping to grow it?
All the best, keep it growing,
David
Perhaps the bigger question in my mind is what length to maintain it at (i.e. long-term). Still I would like to get it to my waist IF possible first. (i.e. Just above the belt line and below the navel!)
You look so good... I think the cell phone camera doesnt do you justice. You need a good camera like those Canon EOS types...
Thanks! Thats what Im always saying to myself :)
P.S. In all honesty though, I DO need a digital camera!
I didn't realize your hair has so much waviness to it. Those waves look awesome cascading down your back!
Waves
cascading down your back-that is the sort of powerful imagery and romanticism that I dreamed of when I was shorthaired again before this, my 2nd time growing it out.
The fact that your comment reflects this, is wonderful for me to read and I thank you for that!
Hey Dean
Absolutely spectacular long hair!!!!!!!!!!! Fabulous inspiration for all to see that post to this board.
Killer photos for sure of the results of hanging-in there to achieve long hair.
In short............pure dynamite!
I am so happy that all has turned out the way it has for you. Good luck in letting your hair continue to grow. You're in the drivers seat but good now. :-)
Justin~
Thanks Justin for your ever-kind and supportive sentiments. Much appreciated. As for my hair continue to grow
I really hope it does! Im not sure where my terminal point is but
no, no need to state any negative suspicions at this point!
Thanks again though.
Your hair really is fantastic, but if you want to be called handsome by me, you MUST regrow AT LEAST the three musketeer-type facial hair combo!!! HAHAHA!
All joking aside, your hair is much like I think mine my turn out in the future (maybe similar to Mesmerized's as well). I think you've done well with growing it too. Good luck with your program of study and work with your Personal Trainer qualifications. That's what I need! I am so lazy sometimes when it comes to exercise though. I guess I need to get motivated.
Summer - I always forget the season-reversal thing. You know in 23,000 years, summer will be in December in the Northern Hemisphere and vice-versa. That's a long way off really, but that's what I've heard.
May your hair grow as long as you want, the wind always blow it the right way, and the road rise to meet you!
Bragi
Bragi, bragi, bragi. I will definitely re-grow my glorious moustache, but whence that farther time may come I know not.
And thank you for your closing lines, they are truly wonderful.
P.S. Drop down and give me 20!
Great hair progress! You're starting to get that mean wrestler look now! ;)
Cheers
For your information, it is my intent to enroll in Lance Storms Wrestling Academy! It is a passion of mine (Pro Wrestling) and while I may never do it again (there is a scene here in Australia, still
) it will be a great experience. And Ive always wanted to go to Canada.
Hopefully he accepts me in!
Looks good. Curls are hardest to grow, but I think look best in the end.
Good luck and keep it long!
I know tell me about it! Especially as my hair alternates between really wavy (bordering on curly) and nearly straight! Although for the most part it is very wavy nowadays.
Thanks BC.
hey man,
you say you wish you had straight hair, but what you've attained is nothing short of marvaelous!!love the waviness..and good luck with your studies!! :))
Marvelous huh? Thanks man! As for the studies Ill need as much good luck and positive energy as I can get, so thanks for that too!
Those are some rockin locks, Dean! Isn't it great to be in uncharted territory with hair growth? Seems to make every day a new adventure. =)
Keep it growing and keep up the great mod work!
-James
I was recently at a musical festival (the BigDayOut) and my hair was rockin indeed! And it really is great to be in uncharted territory and you would know, seeing as every day brings a new hair adventure for you too!
And thanks generally for being such a great person and contributor to the board.
Hey Dean,
What can I what I say, an amazing head of hair you have now and certainly a great inspiration. It's certainly got alot body and full of waves as well and I'm sure your pleased as punch with the look. Well you might in uncharted territory but keep it growing and I'm sure you will always be pleased with how it turns out.
Thanks for your support last year and thoughts and it certainly helped. I great to see life treating you so well.
Cheers,
John.B
I wish you nothing but the best John. And yes I am pleased as punch!
P.S. I sent you an e-mail yesterday, but I hope you got it as my internet connection was a bit wonky yesterday.
Thanks Walter, and as for you keep pushing forward with your hair growth this time! Great to hear from you.
Hey dean
your hair looks awesome. I love the waviness it has!!
Good luck with your studies and your bodybuilding. By the way , Very intimidating look in the picture above. Were you mad?...J/K
Chris
No
I wasnt mad :) Why, should I be!?
Anyway, I took a smiling picture too, but deleted it somehow from my mobile. I have a younger sister btw, and thats going to be my face to any boy when she gets a bit older. Gotta practice you know? :)
Your hair is looking great, and it should be an inspiration to others with curly hair. I know, curly hair is the most difficult to grow. (My beard has curly to nappy hair, and it is very difficult to deal with.) Your mane will only improve with added length. Keep growing it.
Absalom
Your words mean a lot to me, as you have so much experience with hair, so really thank you very much for your compliments!
As for how my mane will behave or look with added length, I have no idea but Im gonna try and see!
I love the confidence! The hair looks great and the stare says you might kill me if I say otherwise. Seriously, though, I love the curly length! Keep it growing, Dean. (And way to puch past some family pressure.)

(http://www.myspace.com/manlocks) - Mr.Crow's photo archive of growing hair
I like how you put that (so much so that I may decide to spare you after all ). Seriously though, thanks a lot and as for the family pressure its still there, but Im pushing past it baby!
Very nice progress with the hair as it looks great now and will look even better as it gets longer so don't stop!!Wish I had a personal trainer at my gym that had hair like you as most guys there are bald to peach fuzz!LOL.Anyway Looks Great!Mark
I know, tell me about it! Im not stopping the growth process at the moment, but I really hope that it does get longer. Im 85% sure that it will though.
Thanks again Mark, and Im sure I dont have to say this to you, but
keep staying fit :)
GREAT mane, Dean... Long curly hair looks so cool. Keep it growin!
--Rick
Thanks Rick, being called cool by you means a lot, so thanks man!
Looking fabulous Dean!
Congrats on three years of great work.
- Oren
Good ol Oren, thank you for your comment. It means a lot coming from you.
P.S. I know there are beard and/or moustache comps out there. You really should consider entering! (its fantastic what YOU have achieved)
Congratulations on the three year mark.
Your hair is fantastic and now you have length the curliness looks just great.
Thanks for the update Deano!!!
My pleasure dave. Or should I say Frank Zane! ! Ok, last time Ill use that reference :) But seriously, thanks for your comments.
I would rather be called John Holmes ;0)
Who wouldn't?
And I've actually been called that by a barmaid once. Pretty sweeeet :)
Ha, that's some sweet hair, dude. Those waves are incredible, particularly in the back pic. I remember you going through a sort of dilemma about your hair being straight one moment and wavy the next; well, if your hair looks this awesome wavy, it'd be fine if it stayed like this.
Keep it growing!
Peace, dude.
Thanks angels. Way to lift me up! Ill do my best to keep it growing.
Metal forever!
Wonderful mane! You really have something to be proud of there. Enjoy your daily steps into the unknown!
Mouse
