hi folks,
just wondering if leave-in tends to make your hair more curly,if not,I guess it's just my hairtype??Thanks...
Yes, leave-in conditioner promotes curliness in my case too. I really like that it does that. I put the leave-in conditioner in, then shake my head all around, and then it's all big and curled and cool looking ;-) High humidity helps too.
Hi Jacob,
Actually, I find the opposite, I find my hair is slightly straighter with leave in and easier to get tangles out, etc. The hair usually looks fairly decent right after drying, but bedhead takes it toll during the night, and when I wake up the hair is not so good until I detangle it. (my bedhead photo in the thread below was right after waking up with no detangling)
One thing I have found is that the use of a clarifying shampoo is pretty well necessary at least once a week if using any rinse out conditioner or leave in condition that contains cones, to prevent buildup. (I use Pantene clarifying shampoo once a week, the only Pantene product I go near, other Pantene products are loaded with cones)

Leave in what? conditioner?
Water usually makes hair more curly than usual, so if that is what you are talking about, yes, it will make it a bit more curly than usual.
Yeah, the few times that I have used a leave-in, I noticed that my hair was more curly. This wouldn't be a bad thing, but my hair is already so wavy/curly to begin with. The use of leave-in seems to overly exaggerate this and make my hair look way shorter than it really is. Plus, my hair seems to stay moisturized enough without it.
To me it also makes it straighter. But my hair is straight in general and I've heard that after washing your hair gets its true potential. If it's curly, after washing it will look curlier, if it's straight, it will look more straight.
I get really nice waves in my hair with leave in conditioner. Once in a while I will use even regular none leave in condition and it seems to work great and make my hair look even better.
Hey Jacob
Every time i use leave in cond. i find that my hair gets curlier and tangled. Maybe its because we have wavy hair or something.....
I've tried a few--the results vary--the last one I tried reduced the frizz but overall I have never found one that didn't cause more problems than it solved. The last one (Pantene) left my hair feeling like it was made out of nylon.
leave-ins certainly can make it feel more bouncy, which is a good or bad thing, depending on how you look at it..
