My beard is almost all gray and a lot of people told me that I would look better if the hair was colored. Well, I did color my beard and I have to admit that I like it better. I am over 40, but I don't feel like it, nor, do I act like it, thus, I wanted a change. The difference was huge! People could tell the difference from over 100 yards. Now that is amazing.
I thought that the grey beard looked great on you, but this looks even better. Also, it could be a nice way to change your look up from time to time. You might feel like experimenting with different shades of brown and maybe even try black.
So, how did you colorize it? Color for men? or something different?
It looks really great.

That looks rather good, Jeffrey. It definitely makes you look younger (not that you look old, by any means), and it really fits with the hair. Very nice work! =)

Your beard looks good, Jeffrey. Colouring it was a good idea. Are you planning to grow it longer? 1 to 1 1/2" would look good.

I like the way it looks now, but I dont know what it would look like with color. So. Its your choice.
Hi Jeffrey,
I think your beard looks great. I don't think colouring your beard is like colouring your hair - it's not as harsh and your beards tougher. I dont think you have to worry about damaging your beard due to colouring, which is good : )
Neil
Hi Jeffrey,
The beard is looking great, it soes tend to show better with the added colour! Your hair is looking A1 as well, it does grow fast, also, I would NOT due the hair, it can cause damage. Great to hear that you feel like an under 40!
I intend to keep my beard, but in its natural colour. I do have a fair amount of dark hair as well as the gray. I remember you asking earlier about how my beard was coming along and you wanted me to post pictures. I did post a 10 day beard update but you appeared to have missed it as you haven't been around for nearly 3 weeks. (Did you have a chance to have a look?) That update is a bit out of date, as I have reached 3 weeks and it is a lot thicker now.
Keep everything growing,
David
Hi there, David!
I haven't been posting too much as we have been really busy at work and now I have a cold. The flu has hit Arkansas pretty hard this year.
I never got to see your picture. I hope you will post it again. I'm really sorry about that as I was looking forward to the pic.
Jeffrey.
Hi Jeffrey,
Sorry to hear you have a cold, I thought I was getting one earlier this week but it only lasted a day, I tend to be VERY fortunate healthwise, very rarely get sick, knock on wood! My update is still on the board, you'll have to scroll WAY down, it's near the bottom of the page ("10 day beard and centre part attempt") There is another picture of me, rather comical, in Shawn's (Mr Crow's) request for bedhead pictures, you REALLY don't want to see that one, as it is me at 5.30 AM, just out of bed, hair a total disaster, but it WAS a fun thread, lol!
I notice you wear a centre part, I have been contemplating one, but haven't made the switch yet, not sure if my hairline would like it.
All the best,
David
Adding the beard and shedding the glasses really changes your appearance. I like the look. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for all the kind words.
The product that I used for the photo was "Grecian 5 for men".
It is very easy to use and will provide 3 treatments for most beards. Naturally, a very full and/or thick beard will require more. All you have to do is to mix the solution and brush it on with the small brush that comes in the package. It only takes about 5 minutes. When you are through, just wash it off in the shower.
I plan to let mine grow out a little more, but not too much more.
And so do I! Looks fabulous on you and fits you ever so well. So, now I am even trying it, (2nd try) but this time will do as you have done.
Hi there, Justin,
I was a bit surprised to hear your experimental beard had as much gray as you said. Your hair doesn't seem to have so much as a fleck of gray in it, I wish I could say that about my hair. I haven't been dying my beard, just letting it be natural for now, I was wondering if you thought my beard would look better coloured? (I guess I have been preferring the natural look as I don't have a lot of gray in it) (I'm not sure if you've seen any of my beard pictures yet)
David
Unfortunately, all of my life I have been too much of a perfectionist for my own good. There is salt in my hair but the way all blends it isn't noticed. Actually, at my age very surprising!
To me it looks just fine! And, as long as you are happy with it that is really ALL that counts. But in my case I desire hair and beard to be a close match so I will opt for what Jeffrey has done and see how I like it.
Justin~
Well, thanks for the kind words.
This stuff is very easy to use. I just hope that it stays on for a while.
Jeffrey.
IMO,you look good either way.but if you are happier with the colored beard, that's all that matters..:)
