I finally gathered up the courage to tell my parents and they don't care, so it is now down to my ear lobes and growing, but I have encountered one little problem, my tech teacher thinks that if I keep this up I will look like a girl, would wearing it under my hat tucked up under it help or should I just wear it loose(no ponytails or that kind of stuff)??
Take a nickel to your teacher and ask if the face pictured there looks like a girl's face. If that doesn't work, try the picture on a $1 or $20 dollar bill. Better yet, show him (her?) a picture of all the girls on the back of a $2 bill signing the Declaration of Independence. Not all, but many of the people pictured have hair past their ears.
For those who don't have a nickel handy. Here's a picture.
Congratulations.

Look, you're going to be mistaken for a girl at times. It comes with the territory. As I mentioned in an earlier post to someone else who's self-concious about people thinking he's a girl at first, you get used to it, and start to laugh at it after a while.
And, I'm going to tell you the same thing I told the other guy: You know what you are, right? So what the hell matters what anyone else thinks?

Hi,
Nyghtfall, said just about all I could have said, but remember, the heck with what everyone else thinks- I think you can find this out in my answer to the guy who earlier on this page, was refering to most guys with longhair being "granolas"(Sorry Nyghtfall, I am having fun using this new term I learned Too!!!). I think you will like your hair long, because when it really gets some length to it, the girls will really like it! (I think they get jelouse, because they can't grow hair as thick & nice as ours!)Keep in touch with us here on your progress!
Later,
Roger
