I was wondering if

2. are there any products besides shampoo and conditioner that i should be using...

Ill give you my own opinion as opinions may vary with different Members or users here ok

No I havent cut my own hair since growing my own out that was 27 months ago the only time I feel that you should have it cut is a minor trim to get rid of split ends thats only a inch or two at the most.

You better of using a separete Shampoo & Conditioner the all in one stuff dont seem to do the job properly for me I use Garnier Frutus Shampoo & Conditioner.
I hope this helps you but do remember this is my opinion only
Happy Growing

All in one works, but not too well and they are loaded with silicones which is bad for your hair in the long run. So dont use all in one...
A: No, don't cut it. (Unless extreme circumstances demand it - and if you find you need to ask what they might be then you don't have them.)
A: Not really, but with wavy/curly hair you might want to experiment with an occasional oil/moisture treatment or glossing products to enhance and define the curls.
NO! Don't trim whilst growing. It takes months longer to get a good length. Trust me.
I'm starting again but without trims. I've beem studdying people who havnt used trims, and their hair looks goog after 4-5 months of growth.

Your best bet is letting it grow. Do not cut it.
Wavy/curly hair tends to be unruly during the first 2 years. Once it is long it will behave. It will start weighing itself down and become a bit straighter(except for the ends). Just shampoo moderately and always apply conditioner afterwards. Moisturizing shampoos and conditioners seem to work best for wavy/curly hair. Never blowdry unless if it is an emergency like getting late to work , school etc...... If you blowdry your hair , Make sure it is on the coolest setting because the heat from the b-drier can cause damage. Always try to let it air dry(let it dry by itself). Never brush when wet! Untangle/comb with a wide tooth comb. After you have reached the length you like , Go in for a small trim to remove the damaged ends and whatnot. Follow these steps and you should be fine. Hope this helps. By the way , You can check out bills link wich is very helpful for growing out ones hair.
