Great band, great hair. A real inspiration for me in my own hair growing out process and I thought I would share this picture, especially as it features their new keyboardist who has hair past waist length.

Opeth is a truly great band. I remember when I first heard them a few years ago, I couldn't believe the creativity and genius of Michael Akerfeldt's song writing. Ever since I've been a huge fan.
I love Blackwater Park and Damnation, but really all their albums are phenomenal.
I got a chance to see them live in April last year , here in New Zealand, bloody amazing. After the show they talked with the fans and everything, so I asked them to sign my copy of Ghost Reveries, and they did! Great, down to earth dudes.
Wow! I saw them in april here in Sydney...maybe i should have hung around after :(
As artists they are amazing (i couldn't agree with u more). As for the hair check out their live dvd (although mainly for the music of course :)
Yeah, Opeth is a fantastic band. They are really unique in their sound. I haven´t seen them yet though, I probably should. :)

They are a great inspiration and a very good band as well and I've been following them for many years. I did have the pleasure of seeing them at the Wacken Festival in Germany last summer. I've already got my ticket for this summers and looking forward to see bands like Dimmu Borgir and Immortal. Good job they don't put on my like "My Chemical Romance..woops loo!!!" and Trivial!!!

Oh man, Opeth is great! The sheer diversity and talent that this band has is staggering. And not to mention their hair looks great as well. I'm really mad that I couldn't catch them on their Ghost Reveries tour, so that means I'll have to wait until their next CD comes out to see them. (Like another year of two, hopefully. On the official website, it continuously says that Åkerfeldt's working on songs for their next album, so hopefully, the wait won't be too long)
Anyway, my Top 3 CD's of theirs are:
1. Blackwater Park (In my opinion, it's the peak of Opeth's career. Everything in the album is just perfect.)
2. Still Life (They really need to put this CD back into print so I can buy it legally :P )
3. Orchid (It's their first album, but it's still one of my favorites, even though they have progressed in so many ways over the years. I didn't really care for it at first, since it seemed even more disjointed than all their other works, but after a few listens, I fell in love)
Thay're probably my favorite band, I really love their stuff. I saw them life last year, 2/23 in Town Hall theatre, a "Chronologies" show - seated, 2 1/2 hour long show with at least one song from every album. I heard The Night and the Silent Water the first time it was ever played live. My favorite concert to date, simply stunning performance. Axe did a really good job on drums as well, I'll miss Lopez, but they've got a damn good replacement!

They're an all right band. Nothing special, and I much prefer underground metal bands. I love their hair. I can't wait until my hair is that long.
