The sky is fair and blue as can be today, and the wind is blowing cold. I was outside playing around with the camera today and took some pictures of the dogs, etc. I snapped this one with the sun at my back looking downward. It came out really wierd with the sun behind me, but in a way, it's kind of a different, quasi-cool shot, I suppose. It reminded me of Zeus or Thor (in sunglasses of course) peering down from the firmament in all its cerulean wonderment.
Oh, and don't worry, today's the first day I tried to tie back my hair; THAT's where it's at. It all stays in the hair tie, wind and all. This must mean it has grown!
I'm still mixed about what to do with the beard. Sometimes, I like it all longer and flowing, other times it seems too much. I am going to keep it thru February, then decide, one month at a time.
That is one SUPERB beard, Bragi! I don't think I've ever seen one so THICK, TOTALLY surrounding the lips, and NO thin patches below the lips! The sides are awesome as well, there are VERY few guys blessed with the overall thickness and coverage that your facial hair has. I can only DREAM of a beard that magnificent. Although I don't plan to grow an overly long beard, I definitely desire a thick one!
Congratulations on achieving a FULL ponytail, wind and all. I can't remember how long you said you have been re-growing your hair, but that is always a great milestone. I am looking forward to seeing your hair at the length that Bodhi has.
I love the artistry in the picture, with the stark blue sky as a backdrop.
Keep everything growing,
David
Before I read your message, I thought you looked a lot like a god in that picture. I think the beard looks really good on you, btw.
Dave
Awesome thick beard, Bragi! You've definitely got the genetics to grow a great one! Some would say, "If you've got it, flaunt it!" I jokingly told a friend recently, "I've finally found something I'm good at - growing facial hair." [grin]
And congrats on getting your mane in a tail!
I seldom tail mine, but now that I've grown a big beard, I wonder what people's take on that would be. We hear all the time that one should put the mane in a tail for job interviews and such, but I wonder: Would there be any point to that if you have a big beard? My beard is going to make me look very hairy, no matter what I do with my mane:

Bravo Bragi!!! This is a great picture. Your beard has taken on a whole new dimension...as you said it is defineately "flowing." I had a similar experience today. Sat on a bench by the river in the early morning sun with a chilly wind blowing drinking a cup of "joe." It felt great with the sun warming my face and the wind in my hair. I, however, took a mental picture not a digital! Hang in there - Bruce'ster
Hi! Your beard looks great as always, and congratulations on the ponytail milestone! As for the mixed thoughts, keeping it through February sounds like a good idea. Either way, whether your beard is short or long it looks really good!

PS: the picture DOES remind me of Zeus!
man, that is a COOL picture-love the background!!and your beard is SUPER thick.
that's a spongy beard, looks good.
Hey that's a thick beard you have there, looks great!
I think that this is the firt pic i've seen where you're not sitting inside a car, lol:)
Carry on!
Simon
Fantastic picture! It's almost like you have a halo about you! lol. The beard looks good, and congratulations on the tail.
Keep on growin'
Bruce
To All: Thanks for the compliments!
David N., Your beard will probably turn out great and beyond your wildest dreams. A super-thick beard is not always the best looking, in my opinion. Also, I have been re-growing the hair since May of 06. Coming up on a year in a few months. It will probably be the end of 2007 before I feel like it really looks long again. For Bodhi length, just stick around for about, say, 5-6 more years! ;-)
Dave K, Thanks for the compliment. When I get Olympian hair length, then Ill even be more Jovian!
Bill, Thanks, and I know there is no hope in rivaling your facial hirstutitude, but I can try! As for a beard tail, I dont know. Ive often wanted to have the beard-length to do braids though. If I stick with it, you may see that picture pop up here.
Bruce, Thanks so much, and keep yours growing too!
Mihnea, Thanks for the compliment. This is random, but I saw the movie, Cold Mountain, on TV last night. It was supposed to have taken place in North Carolina, but was actually filmed in Romania. I never knew that Romania looked more like North Carolina than North Carolina does!
Jacob, Thanks, and the sky turned out to be a great background. Ill definitely do that again.
Tes, yes the beard is rather spongy in texture, and thanks!
Simpa88, Tack så mycket för komplimangen. Ja, ja, bilen ligger i ladan ;-) Din hår är jättefin ocksa.
Scooper, thanks, and thanks. Cant wait to see your update soon!
Thats a very cool shot Bragi, the beard is awesome, everything in the pic is so symetrical, yeah that is a great pic for sure.
