I'm sorry if this has been asked before, which I should think it has. Simply put, do you/have you ever suffered serious abuse (not name calling, worse) because you've got long hair? A few months ago someone at school set mine on fire because he thought it was funny. Needless to say he was expelled permanently within five minutes of it happening.
Has this kind of thing happened to anyone else, and if so how did/do you deal with it?
I'm sorry to hear it happened to you. If it'd been my hair, I'd have alerted authorities asap. In your case, the school Principal. Any kind of unwanted physical contact is considered battery in the eyes of the law.
I just find it pathetic how people that have their how nature intended it are made to look like outcasts. Mainly due to government ideals instilled into people from an early age.
Most, if not all of todays bullying is the governments fault. They split people into groups themselves.
Grrrr, very annoying.
Cant always blame everything on governments... I think parents are to blame because they dont want to raise the kids but wants to let the government to do all their works for them. And they do a poor job at it too!
Its not the government, its the people. The government is just doing what the people want them to do and profiting off of that too.
He should be sent to a juvie if he's a juniville, a jail if he is an adult. That could be considered attempted murder because you can get killed by being set on fire!
I'm just lucky for two things:
At the time I didn't dry my hair so it was still a bit damp, else it would've gone up like a barn on fire.
And secondly the previous headmaster (Principal to some of you)was fired for not doing his job, so if he was still there the person who done it would've gotten away with it.
Sorry to hear about this nonsence. I would definately have contacted the Princical and the police to press charges. No different that lighting your clothes on fire !! But no, I never had issues with long hair, and I had long hair for many years - since the 70's.
Damn, that's scary. What's the damage on your hair?
I myself have never been abused for having long hair...
It happened a few months ago, so there's no damage to it anymore, and when it was done there was a *tiny* amount of singed ends, and washing it the next day took care of those.
