Ok, now that I've got your attention, I braved the cold temperatures and took some photos for my February update. It was in the low 20's ... and just two hours away from where I am in upstate New York they're getting pounded with lake effect snows - over 100 inches and counting!
This photo is a bit strange the way it came out with my hair piled on the snow ... sort of an Edward Scissorhand style maybe?
... I like doing these type of pics and having some fun with my mane.
... my mane is protection against the cold!
... from the remains of an old farm barn.
... I guess these kind are my favorite.
I will be adding more of the photos I took to my longhair photos group over the next few days.

Superb update, Karsten! The snowy backgrounds with your thick, fantastic mane are perfect.
To answer your question about the clips I use: They are the Goody brand and I think I got the ones that were one step up from the smallest. Even with the size I got, I can only make smallish halftails. If you want to get a lot of your hair in the clip, you might want to get a larger size than I did.
Thanks Jason ... for both the information and the compliment!

it's also protection against "shallow" people if ya know what I mean...
your mane is fantastic!!keep growing it..))
awesome hair, reminds me a lot of sarumon in this picture, but then again everyone with long hair reminds me of some lord of the rings character
You never cease to amaze me , Karsten. Very creative photos indeed. I especially like the "Keeping warm" pic. Anyhow , Great mane and great set of pics!
that would make up for a good hair quote, you're quite creative with this stuff.Maybe you should post this on the "other" board lol..that would make them squirm!!:))
Great pictures, Mark - and the mane and beard look great!

Karsten, if I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times. Quit playing with your hair!
(Awesome mane, dude. --Bill)
Hi Karsten,
I have to say you have one truly magnificent mane, displayed with your usual artistry and fun, so thick, healthy, and long. For some reason, it appears straighter in your latest pictures as well.
I have to say, as a fellow plus 50, that I am just a tiny bit envious of the thickness of your hair, you have the thickness I used to have 10 years ago. I could only dream of a mane like yours!
Keep it growing,
David
I just was watching the weather wondering if you were among the snow-bound in NY. Eleven feet of snow! Great hair as always.
Brilliant photos as always! :-) I've been lurking the board quite some time before I came semi-active, but I've always been inspired by your mane. Thank you!
If nothing else, you have the most exquisite coloration in your hair, just awesome.

Great pictures as always Karsten, you even seem to have started a whole type of progress pic here, the Karsten, of which we seem to see more and more examples :)
