Hi all,
I'm trying to find the best product for my curly/wavy, dry hair.
Would also like a leave in product that won't dry out my hair and make it brittle.
My hair tends to knot-up quickly without conditioner and gets very frizzy too.
But the wrong product makes my hair flat and lifeless.
I think it looks best when it gets more "rings" of curls.
Any suggestions??
Thanks and peace,
Josh
Most are self explanatory. They say what type it is for on the bottle, it is about choosing a couple and seeing which is best.
Get curl nutrition and volume boosting shampoo + conditioner, that seems best for your hair.
Great questions, Josh. I agree, the curls are nice to have, but do require extra care to look nice.
I use a variety of products and alternate between them.
Marc Anthony's line called 'Strictly Curls' makes a nice shampoo - smells good, not too expensive and it doesn't dry out the curls too much. The conditioner is also pretty good and is a nice alternate to my favourite: "Infusium23 Anti-Frizz 3-Minute Intensive Conditioning Treatment" (which I also occassionally use as a styling agent, using about the same amount as I would for a good gel).
I like to use V05's Anti Frizz product (like a gel, though not for providing any hold, just frizz control). It gives a little bit of control, but mostly helps to keep the curls in large, many-haired groups, rather than the individual strand, frizzy look.
Other times I use a true Anti-Frizz serum (a clear gel-like substance that hsould be applied while the hair is rather wet). I find this leaves a build-up over a couple days of use and I'd rather not wash the hair every day, anyway.
I've also tried V05 oils and homemade grapeseed oil/honey mixtures for inteisive treatments, but the one that has shown the best success has been something called
"got2be hottie - Oil Therapy Repair Blasts". These single-use packs smell great and, although they are oil for the hair, they rinse out with just water! The packaging calls for washing and shampooing after putting this into your wet hair for about three minutes, but I have used it a few times and never felt the need to wash it afterwards. The hair is bouncy, shiny and controllable all day after these things!
That's my quicklist, neoHippy. I hope it helps.
