did any of you in your first few months
wake up with an afro n hav to use like a bottle of gel to keep it down??
What do i do to make my hair grow faster?
What type of jelly, shampoo, and conditoner do i use?
Iam i suppose to put shampoo in my hair ever day?
Can i get any other helpful tipes about growing my hair?
Well, I would always have an afro whenever my hair wasn't wet, so I'd hide it under a hat when I went out. My hair's texture has calmed down since then, and it's more like this:
My hair would stick up on end with frizz and curls going every whichway, and as you can tell from that picture, it's really nothing like that now. While your hair may not be the texture you want it to be, it generally becomes more manageable when it gets longer, so before you get tempted to cut it (and I was a lot, people would laugh at me a LOT!), you should try to wait it out.
As for gels and other hair styling products, I never touch the stuff. I don't blowdry or anything like that either. Hair oils like camellia may be a good idea though, you could try those. Also, don't over shampoo your hair. It needs the oil, and without the oil your hair will likely want to be less manageable.
The main point is, even if you have an afro now, it may calm down later.
Hehe, the story of my life. . .I used aloe vera gel, and for a while I used a gel by Aussie, I don't remember what it was called though. . .now I just let it go and do what it wants, lol
