Hi Justin,
I just had to say the length and condition of your hair has always been an inspiration to an old geezer like myself, I can only DREAM of hair of your length, it's great that guys of my age and older can grow it that long! My eventual dream is hair of your length, possibly even a bit longer, I was just wondering if I am chasing an impossible dream. I sometimes am a bit discouraged by my growth rate, nearing 3 years and still around 3-4 inches away from mid back, although the wet length is close to mid back. I was wondering how long after reaching mid back you were able to achieve waist length, would you say double the time from mid back to waist length, or is mid back actually over half the way there? My hair hasn't actually stopped growing or anything, and actually seems to be growing better since I started treating it better after discovering the MLHH.(I know I had a period of nearly zero growth when I straightened) I haven't given up hope yet, as long as my hair still seems to be growing, I WON'T give up!

No way as you will read in the email I just sent you which talks of growth rates.
I would say about 2 years, but it could have been less. If you click on my avatar above you will see some progress photos among other things dating back to 2004.
Great! The "I won't give-up" is the way to go. Just look at what Thomas Edison achieved because "he just wouldn't give-up!"
Hang in there David and try not to worry. It seems to take forever...........and suddenly you are there!

Yes, I have grown a beard and am quite happy with it. It has only taken 2 weeks and I intend on keeping it at about its present length so will be trimming it by Wed. Thought it was about time for a "new look" which is similar to how I once had a beard as seen in my "youthful" photo above taken circa 1889 when in my early 20's. LOL :-)

I think you are miscalculating somewhere along the way. Being 3
inches away from mid-back at 3 years is just about right.
I am OVER 5 years (since I started out with four inches) and my
hair is still not quite down to my waist when combed out
straight. So being almost mid-back at 3 years seems fine to me.
Thanks, Luckskind for the heads up on growth rate. Actually, I did start with around 4 or 5 inches in mid April, 2004, my current longest hairs are around 17 or 18 inches, so at least for my longest hairs, my growth rate is probably just a bit short of the normal 6 inches per year.
