Hello guys!
I need help... Today my sister told me she has been noticing some breakage, when she sits on her hair, when she brushes... she says it's breaking really easily, and I looked at the hairs on the brush, and couldn't find one single bulb, which means all the hairs were most likely broken (tough I guess they were broken when i took them out of the brush, but either ways)... Is tehre something you can suggest??
We are planing to use some anti breakage shampoo and conditioner next time we buy new ones, I hope it'll help...
Thank's for reading =) Hope someone can help ups =)
Hey João,
Well, let's see here... The one site I found that stood out a bit was here:
http://www.kidshealth.org/teen/your_body/take_care/hair_care.html
It deals more with teens and haircare. If you scroll down the page a ways, it talks directly about breakage and causes. I don't know if your sister has experienced any of those problems or potential causes, but if it persists and you can't find a solution with conditioners and whatnot, perhaps a visit to the doctor might be in order.
Since you did mention that she sits on her hair a lot, that probably doesn't help the situation much. But hopefully you'll find a solution soon. She has gorgeous hair and it'd be heartbreaking to see anything bad happen.
Hope that helps. =)

Hi - Does she use conditioner? That should help protect it against breakage. Also suggest to her, to try only finger-combing her hair. That's all I ever do, it works for me, and I'm sure she would get less breakage if she tried of that.

Hi Joao
I feel so bad for your sister. She has the most gorgeous long hair in the world and I know (with your help since being on this board) that she must be doing everything right, and of course lots of conditioner.
If I were you, I would seek opinions from various Salons as to what they might suggest. They won't be cutting anything, and an opinion is free. For all you know there is a product out there that helps with something like this.
Be sure and have her go with you to these Salons so that various people can examine her hair.
I wish your sister the best of luck.

This is off topic so I hope you dont mind, but I really enjoy seeing how much you care for your sister. Its really is a rare and beautiful thing that I am not used to seeing. If you don't mind my asking how old are you? I only wish every sibling could be as caring as you are. As my parents say to me "In the end, it will be just you and your brother." Continue to care for her :)
Anyways, I hope you find something to help the breakages.
God Bless,
Rome
I am SO sorry to hear about that, Joao. I know how much you care for and love your sister and that must be heartbreaking to both of you, she has such beautiful hair. I'm afraid I don't have a lot of suggestions, as I'm sure you've tried everything, you know a lot more about hair care than I do. However, I did notice that you mentioned your sister is sitting on her hair, could this be part of the problem, perhaps she could push the hair out of harm's way when sitting down? You also mentioned that she notices it when she brushes, what kind of brush does she use, perhaps the brush could be doing some damage? Perhaps she could try stopping the brushing and try finger combing to see if this reduces the problem.
All the best, I hope you can figure out the problem, keep us updated.
David
Talk to her about taking better care of her hair. Tell her that if you stress hair too much, like sitting on it, that it's going to break.
She might be too young to have her hair so long. She and her hair might be happier at waist-length.
