I have the money for my flying mount, just need to hit 70. Man I remember hitting 40, my second favorite platau.
So much nicer getting around to places 60% faster.
I have a lvl 67 Human Warrior and a lvl 38 Night Elf Priest. I play on a european server, Mazrigos, although I haven't renewed my account this month as this is my final year at uni and I need to work! WoW is dangerously addictive...
What is Wow?
I don't play it but I know what it is.World of Warcraft.Probably the biggest online game ever.I'm more into fps games like Half Life Two or Halo.
Arrick
I have a Horde character on Anetheron
An MMORPG, massively multiplayer online role playing game.
There are 8 million people who pay a monthy fee to have characters in this online world. It has a fantasy medieval feel, and some of the richest lore in modern entertainment. Engrossing to say the least.
You level a character you create from scrach with no skills or abilities (you pick a race, Human, Dwarf, Orc etc.) and pick a "class" (Warrior, Priest, Mage etc) and then do quests that you are sent on for "experience". As you gain XP (experience points), you character "levels" and gets stronger. Eventually you go from being a no body who kills rats from a few pennies, to joining forces with 40 other live players to slay enormous dragons that requires a chat program and precisiona dn coordination to achieve.
There is a reason its called World of WarCrack...
Becuase you are interacting with your guildmates intimately (dozens to hundreds of people) and everyone else on yuor server (3000-6000 people), it has a very strong feel of social realism. I am planning on doing some sort of empirical resarch design looking at this phenomenon at some point in my career ;)
You put ALOT of effort and time into getting your character stronger, with the goal to be max lvl. Eventually, you become quite attached to your characters, and the roleplaying aspect of the game can really shine.
There's a glimpse?.. lol
