hi!
i think Argentina is the country with the largest ratio of long-haired men to the overall male population. Especially among the young people. When i watch football matches from Argentina, i can see that most men in the stadium wear long hair, usually tied in a long pony tail which reaches their mid back. Does anybody know about other countries with a large male long haired population?
This is not a country, but in the United States, Austin, Texas is a
city with a high percentage of long-haired males. Austin also seems
to be long-haired male friendly. By contrast, Washington, DC has a
very low percentage of long-haired males and generally isn't
long-haired male friendly.
i went to Austin last July and i really didn't see many long haired guys. i would say there were few, instead>where they gone?
At the University of Texas and around "the Drag".
Montreal, is quite long hair friendly, and a walk on the downtown business sector will prove it. About 1 guy in 25 has long hair, enough to see one at least on each block. However the number increases, on St-Denis Street, all the way to Mount Royal Street, (six long blocks north 30 min walk). St Denis street, is part of Montreal more "bohemian" district, with coffee shops, a large French speaking university, shops selling Indian clothing, insence, used record stores, and second hand book shops. On St Denis Street one may see about 5 to 10 long haired males, on a sunny warm weekend day.
During Spring, Summer, and early Fall, at Mount Royal park, there is a gathering of the bohemian mix, jamming to African drums, dancing, showing off "hippy" clothing, and lots of long-haired males can be spotted there.
Have a nice day,
Georges Huard in Montreal.
THat sounds cool!!! 1 out of 2 in such a small number of blocks. Do you have any pictures of your hair to post?
