Same thing happened to me. My headmaster forced me to cut my hair when the bangs reached my chin. He threatened me with a suspension and I took it hoping he could deal with it because there was only 2 weeks left of school. Then he said I couldn't take my exams until it was cut - so it had to be done. Hopefully your head of year or whatever is more understanding and considerate then mine.
can they really deny you your exam for having long hair??? that's really unfair and f-d up =(
I feel really sorry for you guys! I hope it'll grow out soon!
It would never be allowed where I live (sweden).
In my opinion,
I say, grow it long enough where you are satisfied with it, and then get it
layered because the more you trim it, the more you are going to have to wait
to get it the length you want. I am pretty much at the same stage now and I
am just going to wait about 2 years until I do anything to it. By then it
will be long enough where I can trim or layer it and it will still look
long. For hair growth, read previous posts on Biotin, there is also Fo-ti
which supposedly makes your grow healthy. You can get these at GNC for a
couple of dollars. There are also many other vitamins you can take to
ensure optimum hair growth. But always remember that YOU CANNOT RUSH
BEAUTY! As for school, your head of year can't tell you what he thinks is appropriate on you. You don't tell him how to wear his hair, so what gives him the right to tell you how to wear yours? Besides his job to make sure you are doing well in school (which you already are), he along with anyone else cannot tell you how to wear your hair. I say just grow it long and do anything you have to do to keep it NEAT, like keep it out of your face and show them that you know how to manage your hair so they won't give you such a hard time...
Don't let anyone tell YOU how to modify YOUR OWN IMAGE just to fit
into standards that YOU don't like. Tell him that you are there to learn
and not to listen to anyone's opinion on how to wear YOUR own hair. You're
16 and I envy you for starting your hair growth at a young age. I'm 22 and
I listened to people on cutting my hair when it got to the awkward stage.
BIG MISTAKE! I only wish I could turn back time and do it different. Don't
make the mistake and fall victim to other people's bad advice. Do what YOU
want to do. It is your own body. Only YOU can tell it what to do. Always
remember that. Hope this helps...
