As weird as this thing feels, I think I could seriously get used to it. I feel so much more... I dunno... like someone who actually cares about expressing himself as apposed to simply being too f'ing lazy to shave.
I also look younger than I did with the full beard, but not as young as I do clean shaven. And my wife loves it, which is a big plus.
I know EXACTLY what you mean by what you just said above! The fun part about facial hair to me is to "experiment" with different looks... Some guys look *great* with loooooooong flowing beards (I'm unfortunately not one of them, in my opinion, --- I look too much like a perverted Santa Claus; or some forgotten, lost billie goat)...
Your new look really does seem to suit you very very well, --- it's amazing how such a minor change can make such a major impact!! Anyway, keep up the good work!

It's looking good, Nyghtfall! That's part of the fun of the whole process, isn't it, trying out new ideas and new looks. (especially if your wife approves, lol!)
I never woould have thought about growing a beard, myself. In 53 1/2 years, I had NO interest in one, whatsoever. It's only after finding this community, and the urging of some guys here, especially Bill, that I decided to grow one, and I am loving it!

One for all and all for one! :P
Look young, fresh and ready to rock!
Lookin very nice, and you do look younger without the full beard:)

maybe you should have kept the connectors, maybe it would have looked better, but at any rate, you look good either way!!(long hair goes with any style)
Cool! All sorts of interesting ways you can experiment with your appearance.

I think you look better with a goatee
Yeah, I think you look younger too =) It suits you well.
It is a nice look and if it is a joyous compromise between you and your wife, then better for both of you.
I like the shape of it and the way you leave your moustache unanchored.
