Hey everybody,
I just wanted to drop a quick note to thank everyone for the encouraging words and the kind reception into your fold. I know the support of this community will be immeasurably helpful as I finally embark--once more--on this longhair adventure. Above is a rear-view picture of my hair from behind, on the fateful day that I cut it, way back in November of 1995 (sorry, it's not the best quality pic). My goal length is about six inches longer than that pictured. I will post a current picture as soon as I can manage a decent one.
Just to clarify, the pic was taken BEFORE the cut, which reduced it to a pitiful 3/8".
No problem, Validus, --- I think most of us understood what you meant... and a hearty big WELCOME from me, too!!
Your hair looks GREAT, btw: I'll bet you'll be the envy of everyone here on this board, once you grow it back!!!
Take care, and please keep us posted...

I just had to say another welcome to you, Validus! (I also replied to your other post)
I just wanted to add, after seeing what your hair looked like before you cut it (GREAT hair, shiny and thick) that I am REALLY looking forward to seeing your future progress, especially when it is 6 inches longer than before.
All the best, and just remember, KEEP IT GROWING!
David
It means a lot to hear from "veteran longhairs" that my strands have the potential to turn out decently. Thanks again, guys!
