Hey everyone,
This month marks two years since I started to let my hair grow out, it's been a wonderful journey of experiencing my hair grow longer. I remember it was late 2004 and I found myself not wanting to go get my haircut anymore, a month would stretch into a couple of months but I still felt programmed to still get it cut. Then in March of 2005 after getting a haircut I finally found the willpower to say..."I really want long hair and it's time to truly experience it, I want to finally let go of how society senses me and to be happy with how I feel and look inside"...The first year and a half was difficult, the awkward stage as everyone calls it was difficult but not too bad, I would wear a hat whenever I needed to do some work or go out and be social at times but my patience paid off, at that year and a half mark I could finally pull my hair back in a ponytail..Yay!!! Since then I've watched it grow longer, I now truly have shoulder length hair on the sides with the back becoming more midback which is cool with my hair having some really neat curls through out my hair...
May you all have a wonderful journey too!
David
Congratulations on reaching the 2 year mark! In another two years it will be 4 years! (NO WAY!!!:P). Keep it growing!

This is truly wonderful news and I am happy that you were able to stick-it-out. Now at the 2 year mark, you are more or less in the "drivers-seat" so to speak. (You will notice in the next year that there is a different kind of Awkward Stage but not anything like the first) as the hair really settles down for good and looks the best of all.
Again, I am happy for you that you have made it.
Good job!
Congratulations David, from another David, on reaching the two year mark, it should be a breeze from now on. Achieving a nice ponytail is one milestone EVERYONE growing their hair long celebrates. Achieving mid back after only two years, especially with curly hair (which takes longer to show its length than straight hair), indicates you are blessed with fast growing hair. Hope you can post some pictures soon!
Keep it growing,
David
Congrtulations David! That's pretty much my story too. I began to grow my hair because it felt more like me and I wanted to stop feel like someone else.
Keep on growin'
