I believe Mr. Crow (Shawn) is using this description more than anybody else here,
and I think it might be just perfect for a shirts, etc. (along with an illustration, perhaps).
MAN LOCKS or MANLOCKS is a great of letting others know that
long hair can be considered masculine. hort, concise and to the point.
It's great...and so we are seriously considering using it as an
important promotional concept.
What are your thoughts on this matter?
QUESTIONS:
1. Which do you prefer: MAN LOCKS or MANLOCKS ?
(note: anything printed on a shirt has to be clear...and so perhaps
dividing the two words might work best?)
2. Do you like the description?
(note: The message is clear: long hair isn't for women only).
Any other thoughts?
Thank you in advance for your comments.
Actually, I prefer Manlocks, one word. Since I believe Shawn came up with the term, I credit the term entirely to him. I feel it should be left as he has been using it all along. Only if Shawn feels otherwise should it be separated into two words
And I do like the term, in fact I associate and define it as long, CURLY, hair, I immediately think of Shawn when I hear it.

Manlocks looks better, I agree. I actually think "man locks" would be more confusing.
Well, thanks, David! How flattering. I think of myself as in the process of growing manlocks...for me that means a big (and eventually long) head of rich curls. I can't claim to own the word, though, or its implied meaning. Having been not so present as of late, I am glad to read that it is kept as one word, though.
Well, I said I wouldn't post any more pics until my one year at the end of April (23rd, actually), but I will put just one showing some of the length of my curls...my developing Manlocks.
Thanks for your continued support, David.

Your certainly welcome, Shawn, and thanks for posting the picture, the curls look really healthy and shiny and truly outstanding, can't wait for what they will look like with added length! (I am still having problems seeing your pictures on Myspace, I followed your tips, but the site is insisting I be a member)
All the best,
David
Looking mighty fine there Shawn, your manlocks are ggggrrreeeaaattt!!
If you seperate the two words LOCKS becomes a verb.
Manlocks looks a lot better. :)
I hate to be negative but you asked for opinions--I think the whole deal with t-shirts etc. for longhairs is kind of silly. A guy with long hair wearing a t-shirt promoting or identifying him as a longhair is kind of like a guy with a moustache wearing a t-shirt that says, "I have a moustache." If you have long hair, people can that you are a longhair--they don't need a t-shirt to tell them that or that you are in favor of it. Of course you are in favor of it--if you weren't you would have gotten a haircut. Now, for those who for some reason can't grow their hair out, a t-shirt saying something like, "Longhair inside." That might be different.
sorry about the italics. I was attempting to italicise the word "see" which got obliterated, and everything after it got italicised, because my html coding was in error.
...we will be offering Hair Quotes.
No, they are not for everybody. To each it's own.
All we are doing is offering the products. The Longhaired Dreamer
did surprisingly well and is quite popular.
Anyway, from time to time we will add and remove products in an attempt
to suit the needs of the buying public.
Soon we will be adding a section that is slightly of topic. That is,
it will not be ABOUT longhairs. Instead, it will be about various subjects that longhairs might be interesed in...such as
famous musicians, painters etc. In other words, it will be a shirt that ANYONE can wear--not just longhairs.
Thank you for your comments.
Thank you all for your input. Everyone who commented preferred
the one word version and so it will be.
Thanks for your comments and input!
