Hey, I was with my friend Annie and she took photos. On the 12th it will be 10 months from the beginning of my hair journey lol. It looks like it has grown a bit since my last post and today I washed it with less conditioner :) Let's hope it will survive for at least today and tomorrow without getting oily.
That is some excellent straight hair! I'll also be at 10 months on the 12th. Your hair looks great, so keep it growing! =)

Thanks!! It's cool to know someone from the board who started growing their hair on the same date :P
your hair is quite nice and looks like it will be easy to keep looking that way through the akward phase.
I started growin (well stopped cutting it anyway as I'd been growing it all my life) on April 23, 2006. I am in the same month (or close too) as the two of you, too. It is nice to have others around sharing the process as well as those who have already gone through it.

I have to say your hair looks outstanding. You have great quality hair, nice and straight, and you certainly have no grease problems to speak of in these pictures, as you had complained about earlier. I best the wish of luck to you in dealing with those problems. Your hair is the perfect type to grow super long, and I was wondering how long you hope to grow it? (You should consider waist length or longer, if you chose to do so)
All the best,
David
Thank you very much, David. I'm hoping to grow it really long unless something unexpected happens. I'd say at least waist-length. It doesn't look greasy because I had washed it a couple of hours ago. Maybe someday I should post a greasy pic, it's hideous.
Looks really good so far. Looks like your headed into the middle of the awkward stage, but your hair looks good, so it shouldn't be too much trouble for you. Nice hair & eye color combination, too!
...that I had started out with hair that straight. You have the
kind of hair that just grows long without going through
a major awkward phase.
Looks great. Good luck!
Looks outstanding!
The awkward phase dosen't seem to be troubling you. Lucky you!
Hang in there and keep on growing it dude. Your friend has beautiful hair by the way :-)
Looking great, especially for only ten months.
Hi grrrrr,
Your hair looks very cool at this length already. The sun really brings out the hazel color of your eyes too. I think less conditioner may work out very well for you. Often, very straight hair like yours will be too weighed down by conditioner. Hope you keep it growing much longer. And your "friend," (hehe) is very pretty! She has that alluring Eastern look. It's great to have friends like that. Good luck with growing.

Looking great for ten months!!
And your beautiful friend has great hair and an even greater t-shirt.
Keep rockin'
You've made some great progress since your avatar photo was taken. I like the shot of your bangs covering your face. By fall we may not even be able to see your face when you do that!

Looking good mate! :)
Looking good! Awkward stage? What awkward stage?

Hey Grrrrr, your hair is growing very well. You have the best type of hair to grow really long. From what I see in these 2 photos, you have medium to coarse hair, probably in the 90 micron diameter range. You would have to measure a shed strand under a microscope to know for sure. (I have done this and mine is about 70 microns.) It is also perfectly straight.
Overall, you have the best hair to grow very long. Unless you are super tall, it should reach your waist in 4 years or so, if you choose to grow it that long.

Hi, I don't know if I can find a microscope right now but I've also been curious about this. And I'm tall but not supertall I'm between 6feet 1inch and 6feet 2inches which is still considered tall I'm still 16.
has to have a length of about 1/3 of your height. Your true waist is ABOVE your beltline by about 2 inches, which is at the same height as your navel. You are probably still growing at 16 years old. Assuming that you will probably max out at about 6'3", you will need 25 inches of hair length to reach your waist. You could have waist length hair by age 20, if you choose to grow it that long.
Here is an interesting statistic: 1 in 7 men in the USA are 6 feet tall or taller. Probably fewer than 1 in 20 are 6'2" or more.

how do you see what you're doing with that much hair in your eyes. i like bangs on myself but only to the eyebrows. i concentrate more on the back and the sides.
great straight hair you have there, and your friend is beautiful also ^_^
Hey Grrr
I like this picture best your hair is starting to look the business regarding it being long you got great hair in great condition in my opinion yup your born to be a long hair!
Your friend Annie she is one very attractive girl you would make a great couple to !
Axel
You have great looking hair, but how can you see with all that hair in your face? Have you tried going to a part in the middle?
Yes I've tried lol but I don't like how it looks, it's too short still. I can't wait to wear it parted soon and no I don't mind the hair in front of the eyes I don't know why. Anyway, it's gotten longer so it usually parts itself on its own.
