Hey Justin, I just realized that you live in Oregon. I live there too. What part? :)
I'm in Portland (SW, closer to Beaverton) but will be moving to Klamath Falls in the Fall for school.
Those are some awesome pictures you've been posting. It was the picture you posted of your carnivorous plant that tipped me off. :D
I am in a smaller town about 25 miles west of the city of Portland less than a mile from Pacific University.
I once lived in sw and liked it when I first moved out here. Klamath Falls? Yikes...........that's a long drive. I often am in your direction as needed to Portland Music Company. (Sheet Music Dept. downstairs.) They are right on the Beaverton Hillsdale Highway about one mile north of 219.
Thanks! :-) Yes, the plants ARE awesome. Right now they are coming out of their dormant stage as they need this sleep, hence don't look like anything at all really. By the end of May they will be at their full glory, and they all stay looking pretty good through October and part of November when they are getting ready to sleep again. Most species I have were aquired through Jeff Dalles in Gresham as well as Dean Cook in Eugene. Some have grown so much that they can be divided which I am doing right now as I plan on selling them in early June in a local Farmers Market either here or in Hillsboro.
Nice to know of another long Hair that is a Hyperboard member in OR. Thanks for writing.
Justin
Hey, I live off Beaverton Hillsdale Highway. I even used to go to the Portland Music Company for bass lessons until about a year ago. :)
I think that's an awesome hobby you've got. They must be mighty impressive once they're no longer dormant. :D
It is nice. :D Thanks for responding. Wish I'd known this 3 years ago!
