Would you consider this ginger? I like the lightness, but should it be more yellow? Could anyone help me out here? I read that using Ash Blonde dye could correct this?

I noticed that pics taken with a flash makes it look more reddish, these are without the flash.

I've noticed it's gotten a better shade as time goes on, what do you think?

Dyeing your hair is definitly not the best way to start growing it... Actually, I think you couldn't have started with a worst action so far...
I'm sorry for being so vibrand in my words but I am so tired, some people just keep on ruining their hair hoping it will grow healthy anyways...
Ok guys, let's reformulate this thing of long hair forever...
LONG HEALTHY HAIR FOREVER!! AAARGH!!!
Anyways, you have to do your own thing, but I had to say that... And I wanted to be a platinum blonde, with straight hair... I'e got honey hair, wavy. Do I paint it or straighten it?? NO! That's why I only had one trim in 2.5 years...
DON'T COLOR YOUR HAIR!! BAH!
Thank you =)
Sorry sunshine, what's done is done. The quality feels somewhat the same. I don't think there is damage.

It depends what your goal is. If you only want shoulder length hair, your dyeing probably didn't matter. If you want it longer than that, there could be long term consequences.
Yeah, my goal is around shoulder lenth. I just washed and conditioned it again, and it feels softer than ever.
I may have to get an Ash Blonde to take out any unwanted redness, but it is actually settling in well, and its alot less gingerly than it was original (I hope/think)

Are we being a little dramatic here?
If people don't like the color of their hair, they'll dye it. I don't understand what the big deal. Virtually anything you do can damage your hair.
Unless it starts falling out in clumps or something, I really think people exaggerate about the damage.
I wanted blonde or brown or even red hair... my hair is stuck at black forever. I seen people dye their hair and the longest it ever get was shoulder length, even on girls. Bleaches can do serious damage to hair. Maybe if you got blonde hair and dyed it to brown it would not hurt much because you're not sujecting it to 30% H2O2 (thats the chemical used to bleach hair... it is highly reactive! drop a dead dry cell battery into that and see what happens...)
I touched bleached hair and I do not like their texture. I prefer the shiny smooth hair even if it stays black forever...
As a previous poster had said bleaching can damage your hair and if you want to grow it out just leave it's natural colour and you'll have great looking like Joao!
It looks cool, but as everyone has said it does damage your hair.
by the way, wasn't dying your hair one of the reasons that you cut it? :S
either way keep it growing and best of luck!
Kind of, I dyed it black, and wanted it light brown/blonde. But I only kept getting dark red.
Now I styled it, it looks better. It will look better when some brown comes through.
No, because you're not a dog.
Around here you'd surely get barked at, and perhaps beat up in a schoolyard, if you went around telling people your hair was "ginger".
Bill
It's perfectly acceptable to say that in England though.
How long ago did you color it? The brassiness will fade with time. You can also use a clarifying shampoo to help remove the red if that's what you're after.
meh,I like the photos with the flash,I guess that's just me
You kids never listen!
I was born a natural blond and gradually my hair has gotten darker over the years, as even gray sneaks in. I do not mind, for I wish my hair would turn silver as many others to, but it does not so I have what I have.
However if I were going to bleach my hair and I wish I had the gusts in my 2os and 30s when my blond ws still predoniminantm I would go ash platinum, get the red out, go white. And I would stay white.
It is dramaric, a paradoxically more naturall and more mysterious than ginger,
There is a good sight on Yahoo for Bleached men, The moderator looks dramatic; some don't, But if I did not think I were too toiod to have platinum hair, I would go for it. In a few months people will be sure that is your natural color, but be ready for the touch up every four weeks,
Caledonian.
