Here, I couldn't wait more so I decided to try a few tails so I bought my first 2 elastic bands - a black and a blue one. The quality of the tails is bad because it's my first time tying my hair and the quality of the picture is abd because I had to photograph them myself with my arm stretching behind :D. Still, today my hair is 1 month older than a baby carried in a wound :D.
A hearty congratulations to you, grrrrr! That is ONE milestone everyone growing long hair celeabrates with pride. In a few short months, ALL your hair will fit into the tie and you will have a nice, LONG ponytail! Keep up the good work.

Truly a milestone accomplishment. Just hang in there as it takes a bit more time for the hair in the front to reach the back. (Of ALL things having to do with the Awkward Stage, this is the one that frustrates everyone the most.) But, you WILL make it.

My 4Yr old daughter saw your pics and said, "That's pretty nice". I agree. I think the half tail style is one of my favourites.
