I´m geting crazy over all this waiting. I can´t wait for my hair to get long! I mean, I´ve only been growing for 4 months, and my hair grows really fast, so I should consider myself lucky. But even though it grows fast it´s so frustrating to just wait for it! :(
I crave for that long hair. I feel like something´s missing, even though I´ve never had long hair before.
Hi Erik,
Yes, it can be hard sometimes, the old waiting game. The fact that long hair takes time and patience to grow is one of the things that makes it most rewarding in the long run. One actually feels a greater sense of pride and accomplishment when you have to work for it, and wait a while for that hard work to pay off. Simply being given something overnight never gives you that same sense of "a job well done!"
Just hang in there, you WILL have long hair, and believe me, it IS worth the wait!
David
Yeah, i'm getting more and more annoyed by the day. My hair is looking more and more untamed and scruffy every week!
I don't want really long hair, just long enough so i can put it back with an alice band or medium length hair.
It is growing pretty quick but still is very frustrating.
It's going to be another 4 months and i feel the urge to cut come across me more now!
Could always get hair extensions.....
Hey Erik - Well, that has to be the funniest post I have EVER READ on the MLHH! I'm not making fun of your situation by any means. I've felt that way MANY TIMES before; we all have and still do. My hair is FAR from where I want it to be. Last Friday I was feeling great about how it looked and over the weekend it sucked. So, hang in there my man, be tuff, grow that RHINO SKIN and let time and your hair do their (DAMN) thing! You really did cracked me up brother, and I needed a good laugh! Bruce'ster
Hey man, I (and many others) feel the same, it feels as if my hair is growing very very slowly. But it's all good, and like David and Bruce said, it's worth the wait. Just keep shreddin' on that badass axe of yours and you'll be at your g oal before you know it!

Indeed, even all the money in the world cannot make you a longhair. If Bill Gates, the richest man in the world, wanted to be a longhair, he'd have to wait just as long as you have to. [grin]
Bill
I have had the same feelings, I actually thought that it quit growing. It's all a part of the process. Ya just gotta hang in there. :)
Unfortunately all takes so much time and it almost sounds as if you are in a suffering (or frustrated) state.
One of the BEST things to do is not to measure every day, keep looking in the mirror etc. Try if possible to just forget about it. It WILL make the journey to becoming a Long Hair much easier on yourself and the time will pass quicker.
If ANYTHING taxes ones patience, it is that of waiting for their hair to grow out.
Definitely agree with you on that. When I started growing my hair out, I didn't have a lot of aggrevation with the "awkward stage." I had too much other stuff in life to be thinking about. Sure, my hair would flip out and do weird things. But I just used a little hair spray, gel, etc. to hold it place.

P.S. Nice avatar!
Yes, I too have found that hair grows the most in months that you don't watch it. [grin]
Bill
I hear you,Bud. I feel like that sometimes too. Just hang on and try not to think about it.
Thanks for the comments all!
I guess I just have to keep going even though my hair looks like Capitan El-Crapo after a month out in the desert.
I'm 15 months in and I still think GROW, GROW!!
Patience, there is nothing you can do, just enjoy it.
I know what you're talking about ^^. Although, the growing process is one major part when wanting to have longhair.
I'm at 14 months, and having wavy hair, it has suddenly started gaining length :p, though I still have some length to go ^^ (keep pushing my goal length), I sometimes think the same thing.
Although, the thing is, and when I really think about it: if I could make a wish and wake up the next morning having going from buzz cut to long hair, I wouldn't do it...
Not that I don't want longhair, I can't wait for it ^^. But I also want to enjoy this part of the growing process, and end up with my "reward".
Yup I feel exactly the same way! I actually started thinking that my parents give me sleeping pills and during the nights they cut it lol! I feel like it doesn't grow but let's say I forget about it for a few weeks like Justin mentioned then I notice the change! But I rarely forget to think about it...
Try imagining that your current length will be no more so you should enjoy it! What I mean is that you'll never have hair as long as it is now because it will just get longer (unless you cut it of course) so it's like a real person is growing. It makes me feel powerful :D
Thought that y'all who are tired of waiting for long hair might like a tip. Vitamin E works wonders. Inexpensive too, any grocery store with vitamins should have them.
Hey, I do drink Geritamine (Vitamin A + E) it's supposed to make a great combination for hair growth and it's cheap. Even if it doesn't help so much I still need vitamin A for my eyes as well but of course I never drink more than 1 pill a day cuz excessive intake of vitamin A can cause exactly the opposite -- hair loss.
Yeah, I remember how slow it is in the beginning - The first time I grew it out from a crew cut in HS, it took forever. The worst was when it was 2-4 inches or so because my hair always stood up in the back. But after it starts getting long - over your ears or so - it's all downhill.
