Iono if alot of you guys have these, but there are these short hairs mostly where my part is in the center. Is it better to cut them off or just leave them alone?
Never cut those!!!! They will at some point grow out!!!
peace
These are your future long hairs :-) Keep 'em!
Hey - My philosophy is simple...don't cut any of your hair. Just let er' grow! If you start cutting (any of) your hair it could be a "slippery slope" with a pair of scissors at the bottom. Each of us has unique hair and I think that's part of growing it long and discovering what it looks like, how it feels, and reacts and changes from day to day, month to month, in different seasons, on different occasions. So, relax and enjoy the show (on top of your head.) Bruce'ster
Definitley do NOT cut them. There are hairs all over your head of varying lengths. These are just the only ones you have noticed because of the part.
If a single hair (or random isolated hairs) aren't doing what you want them to, just ignore them. Let them grow longer and they will behave. If you have a patch of hair that isn't doing what it's supposed to, you might have a problem on your hands. For example, the area where your sideburns transition into normal head hair. I had gone through many months of careful shaving to see if these hairs were going anywhere. I decided they weren't and start shaving them regularly and all is well.
Hair on the top of your head where you are parting it should not be cut.
Leave them alone, and do not cut them (as messy as they may look sometimes)
they will grow long and replace the hair that you shed.

Perfectly normal--leave them.
If you cut those short hairs pretty soon you will discover a bald spot where those hairs used to be. Those hair replaces the hair that falls out...
