Hey, I know there are a few pro wrestling fans on this thread, and perhaps most of them were heartbroken the day that Kevin Nash decided to cut his beautiful mane. So I got around to writing an ode to it. LOL. Hope you like:
"Ode To Kevin Nash's Long Pretty Hair" By Alexander The Poet 03.13.07
Oh, Kevin Nash's long pretty hair,
How dearly I miss it so
When he cut it, it was just not fair,
How I wish, back, it would grow!
When he did the jackknife powerbomb,
His hair would flow with such grace
And it made my world forever calm,
It made life fall into place!
His hair had an amazing workrate,
And got mad babyface pops
Every man loved it, both gay and straight,
And they gave it, lots of props!
I believe he used conditioner,
At the least, three times a day
Of it, I became a worshipper,
Whether 'twas black, blonde, or grey!
Oh Kevin Nash, how I miss your mane,
For it never got heel heat
And I wish you'd grow it back again,
Because that would be too sweeeeeet!

I loved it when Jericho cut it in the hair vs. hair match on Raw in 2003. You didn't put that crucial detail in the poem. Too bad Nash's hair was the only thing about him that had workrate.

Well, yeah, storyline-wise, it would appear that Y2J cut it, when in reality, Nash decided to do it for a role in The Punisher.
I dig Kevin Nash, he's actually one of my favourites in the WWWE, too bad that he cut his hair as i think he suit much better in long hair, and looked a bit younger also:)

I guess all the wrestlers grew hair to make fashion statements, or whoever owns them says so...
Some say that wrestlers originally had long hair to hide "calling" during a match.
calling?what's that?approximately 20% of the roster is longhairs...^_^
It's when wrestlers speak to each other during the match to set up the next spot, dictating the flow of the match. Some old school wrestlers like the Undertaker even call in "carny" so people don't know what he's saying. Some people are really bad at it and you can hear them when the camera is too close.

Rated R Superstar and I were talking about his hair the other day. Did you notice that it was bleached to death before he cut it. It was obvious he was gonna lose, the colour was horrendous.
4 years later, and Jericho also has short hair :(.
