When I first grew my hair out, I eventually went with an undercut to get rid of layers and the "mullet" look. This time I was going to just keep the back trimed until the front caught up, but I think I will be going in for a slight shave underneath soon. I'm not going to do what I did last time and pretty much shave all of the side and back as it really didn't suit me. This time I'm going to get buzzed just enough to make shaving easier and help hide my hair better while I'm at work (under a cap). I'd also be able to wear a ponytail alot sooner, perhaps right after I get it done. I realize I'll have to keep going back in for maintanence, but if my job situation improves I could grow it back out underneath without much of a problem.
This is what I'm going for if anyone is confused: http://www.tnapics.com/displayimage.php?album=315&pos=9 Not even as severe as that, though. See where the V in the buzzed part of his hair is? That's about where my buzz will start.
Personally it looks like a reverse mullet to me...
A undercut isn't that bad in some circumstances. I do like how you can tuck it under your hat and it looks like you have short hair...and then off comes the hat and presto, long hair. I met this fellow once who had hair down to his knees and it was
all bangs. A totally awesome undercut, really.
Sounds just about like what I have. I've had it for 3 years or
more and love it.
People see you with a cap on and think you have a buzz cut
until you take your hat off and then they are shocked. he he
Having a good and understanding barber (which I do) is very
important.
