It's hard to believe that exactly six months ago today, I fired up the computer, googled "men's long hair" and found the MLHH! And what a find it was! I lurked and made a few posts, and received so much support that I joined FULL time in October. (so I have actaually been a member for 5 months) Whether I wanted advice for dealing with hair damage and some hair loss, giving me overwhelming support in my updates, or encouraging me to grow my first ever beard in 53 1/2 years, you have all been there for me and I just have to say a special THANK YOU! I only wish I had found the MLHH when I first started growing my hair 3 years ago.
A special thank you has to go to Justin, Bill, and ALL the members of the team that runs the hyperboard, congratulations on a job well done!
I have to say that there is simply NO better site on the internet today. For all those new guys who have just come on board, a hearty welcome, be sure to stay around, you will find an awesome community here. For those who may be lurking in the background and have not yet joined and may be a little hesitant (as I was in my very early days), come on board, we love to see new faces here!
This is such a great community that it has now become a dream of mine to meet as many of you in person as possible. I plan a road trip across the US and southern Canada in the spring of 2009. I already have a list of 20 to 25 members who have already indicated they would like to meet up with me during my trip. I would certainly love to hear from anyone else who might like to meet me during my journey. I already have a pretty good idea of my route, obviously I can't include everyone, but the more, the merrier!

I´ll join in and say thanks to all! I´m not sure that I would grow my hair out if it wasn´t for you guys.
It really is a celebration, David, for this forum is a wonderful place! I lurked longer than you though lol. I found it during the summer and was astonished by all the info since then I didn't know anything about growing long hair.
Let's hope this board will continue to be here and give us advice forever! It really is a reason to celebrate, so Happy MLHH Joining Anniversary (lol), David :P

Also, I would love to meet you during my road trip I have planned for 2009. Although southern Florida is a little off my route, if you think you might be further north in early 2009, I would love to get together!

Besides hoping to meet as many as possible on my road trip in the spring of 2009, if ANY of you ever get the chance to get to Nova Scotia, you can expect to get a very warm welcome from me if you decide to drop by. (Rich has already indicated he may visit this summer) Nova Scotia is a beautiful province, especially in the summer and fall, as Bill and his partner Larry can attest to when they visited 10 years ago. Unfortunately, I never had a chance to meet Bill and Larry at that time.

You have really just made a bit of a summery of what we are all about, and what we strive for in being of help to others.

I have to add that I really appreciate all the support you have given me over the past 5 months and I am most definitely looking forward to meeting you! I was also wondering when you joined the MLHH?
On a side note and as a bit of a favour, why not check a little further up the board and give a warm welcome to Chamogirl. I met her over at the LHC and urged us to come to the hyperboard and say hello. Unfortunately, one guy appeared skeptical and did not give her the warm welcome I had expected everyone here to give her. It would be great to show her what an awesome community we have here!

..I joined MLHH in may 2006,but I discovered it around december 2005 after googling "long-haired men" or somethin like that (I was a lurker and an occasional poster until may).my one year anniversary is comin up soon,hehe..
Congratulations David! I am also happy that I found this site (somewhere around September) and finally joined in November.
I would also like to thank you for the kind words & support for my updates and questions.
