Just dropped in to say, Hi!!
DavidN told me about you all-I see Trolley pup too.
I hope to gain more info for my poor abused hair.
My 18 year old son has mid back length hair in very good condition and color. I know I can get some good tips for him as well.
Hi there, Shelia!
I am so glad you dropped by to say hi to everyone at the MLHH! I hope you have had a chance to look around and see what an awesome community we have here. Welcome aboard, everyone here is very supportive and friendly, and hope your hair damage will soon be behind you.
All the best to you and your family,
David
I looked at member's pics -this is awesome - I should post a pic of my older son.
Here we go again...let me be the first skeptic...
I have met Chamogirl over at the Long Hair Community, and she is a very sweet person. It was me who told her to come here and say hello. Why not pay a visit to the Long Hair community yourself, Jason told me about that site, and it is a wonderful community of very supportive people just like this one.
Frankly, I am quite disappointed at your posting. I had indicated to Chamogirl that she would receive a warm reception here, I hope there are other members here here who can give her the welcome I was expecting she would receive.
David
Scepticism is entirely appropriate in these circumstances. Look broader than what you see...
This is also the MENS long hair hyperbaord.
Just don't forget that we have several wonderful women members here as well. Let us not forget Elizabeth, Mouse and several others who are full time members of this community. They are all fully welcome here, they really add that extra touch that makes our community complete. The fact that there are women who appreciate that men like to grow their hair long is truly special. As I have said earlier, Chamogirl is a long standing member of the Long Hair Community, is it really too much to ask to give her a warm welcome?
David
I would point out this from the FAQ:
"Ladies are welcome here."
...We must be very careful when "speaking for others." I know you meant well--and it was nice of you to invite her--but
none of us can know ahead of time how members will react.
Of course you expected others to be polite, etc., but not everybody thinks the same way.
If some have their doubts it could be because they got fooled before
and are now very leery about trusting others on message boards.
I believe Chamogirl is a nice person, but I cannot expect everyone else to think like me.
That's life.
hi there!!glad to see LHC members coming here! ^_^
have you been abusing your hair?how so?perhaps for starters you might want to read up on an essay from Bill Choisser titled "on being a longhair" in the links section. It talks about hair care tips in general.and, should you have any questions, feel free to ask us here.hope you stick around (looking forward to your son's pics)

Welcome aboard!!!!! Glad you decided to join this wonderful community of long hairs. I am really looking foward to seeing a picture of yourself and your son!
Cheers!
Welcome chamogirl! It's wonderful to see a fellow LHC member at the MLHH.
Hi chamogirl and welcome to the Hyperboard. Great to have you here. Advice? You will be sure to get plenty of that on this site for sure.
For a starter you speak of "abused" hair. Conditioner is VERY IMPORTANT in the washing schedual. If not already, you might want to start with that right away and see if it makes a difference.
Hey..........I've got it! Do as your 18 year old has been doing and see what happens. :-)
With all good wishes to both you and your son.
