Is it okay for males to post on TLHC? My heart will always stay here on MLHH, but you can´t really read too much about hair now can you. :)
Most definitely. I've been a member for almost 2 years. Please come and join us!
Long Hair Community
Hi Erik,
Men are most welcome at the LHC! I have been a member there for around two months, it was Jason who urged me to join. He also encoraged Jacob (cerebralassassin) to join at the same time. We also have several other men including Trolleypup and Joao who are members. Feel free to stop by and have a look around. I will give you a word of advice. The LHC is MUCH bigger than the MLHH and it does take some time to find your way around.

Oh to bad it dont accepted Hotmail oh well never Mind !
Axel
All my mail accounts are free ones and I've never had a problem signing up using them. Mail.com certainly works for me at LHC, also you can read without joining but it would be fun to get to see you there too.

Sure, just pay attention to the TOS (this applies to anyone who wishes to join in). LHC is a fairly heavily moderated board with an active moderation staff apparently on duty around the clock.
It is heavily skewed in the female direction, as MLHH is in the male direction, but I haven't noticed any disfavor towards males (and with 1800 posts in the last year, I would have likely received some if it was out there).
It is definitely heavily moderated. There is one guy who still posts regularly here who was banned from there (not me, LOL!). I tried to find out why, but they wouldn't tell me. They are very friendly, but sometimes you have to be careful what you say.
I can think of some minor 'disfavour' to males. There have been one or two threads trashing guys per se. For example, a long rant about how guys expect women all to be skinny with huge b**bs. When I pointed out in that thread that most of us really aren't that much into really skinny women it backfired, as I got flack from somebody who was thin! I was only trying to say that it is actually the advertising industry and other women that promote that particular stereotype, but of course it was interpretted as a slur on skinny women!
According to a poll the Long Hair Community is about 90% female. There are quite a few of us who post in both places, though.
I remember you - I haven't seen you in awhile. I vaguely remember that to do about women's shapes but I didn't get involved in the rant-seemed silly to me.
Let's get it straight dead honest, at the time my post resembled more trolls than legitimate posts. And making sarcastic remarks in the sensitive issues boards.
" LHC is a fairly heavily moderated board with an active moderation staff apparently on duty around the clock."
That's a nice way of putting it. The LHC moderators have their own section of the forum and are constantly chatting about various members. Some mods seem to have the goal of finding every suspicious post they can find. The talking behind member's back turned into just gossip. A group of women operates much differently than a group of men.
There are some nice members there, but most of the founding members have gone elsewhere due to the unfriendly atmosphere created by the current owner. And the LHC tries to be a forum for ALL topics, not just long hair like MLHH. It just got too big (along with the owner's head ;-)
Mick, I know you were once a moderator at TLHC (until 2004 I think), but please don't presume to know what goes on there now or the sort of issues that the moderator team deal with.
It's very pleasing to see so many folks from MLHH registering at TLHC recently - you're all welcome!

Well said, Beatnik Guy!
I have been a member of the LHC for just over two months since Jason told me about it in January. I have been welcomed there with open arms. The LHC is an awesome community, there are some wonderful people there, and they are very supportive of me.
David
DavidN,
You seem like a well meaning person. Just be careful.
The mod who posted above is just one of the reasons that many of the founding members left the community. His later addition to the forum was not seen as positive by many members.
I'm glad you find it supportive. But just be aware there is much behind the seens that you are unaware of.
Peace,
Mick
