I was out to breakfast with my grandmother and brother, and my coat had slipped from the back of my chair into the floor. An older woman was calling from the aisle next to mine, "Miss, Miss, you dropped your coat."
When I turned to see who was calling out to whomever, I realized that "Miss" was me at the same time the woman realized that "Miss" was inded NOT me. She was so embarassed her eyes doubled in size and she coverewd her mouth with her hands. I couldn't stop chuckling.
As she walked over apoligizing, I told her I take it as a compliment that my hair is well-maintained, long, and healthy enough to be mistaken for an average female's.
No real point to the story but I figured I'd share, as it was an interesting experience. Is it wierd that It felt flattering? I guess it was that someone outsie of those who knew me with short hair acknowledged that my hair is indeed getting long.

Haha really cool, congrats I guess, I would take it as a complimenet as well, even though it hasn't happened to me yet!

Compliment*
I always take them as a compliment. Even the few negative female mishaps i once received made me feel great!!
congrats

Haha! These kind of posts are always very entertaining. :D
Yeah, take it as a compliment man. It´s hilarious anwyays. :)
Thats a good story.
I'm not sure I would like it to happen to me though.
That's a cool story, Rome. The best thing about things like this happening is that they force people to reassess their own ideas about long hair.
Good to see you still here, and everyone else. It's been a long time since I've posted. I've been in self-imposed exile because I've got so much going on in my life right now: taking care of my dad and preparing his place for sale, mainly.
My best wishes to all the guys.

This is always a pleasing moment - I well remember the first time I was addressed as 'Madame' in a shop!
It's not weird to be flattered by this at all; it just means you're secure in your masculinity. I never understand guys who are offended when this happens.
yeah man, stories like these are hilarious!!I'm guessing you got a kick out of seeing her facial expression when she realized her mistake..hope it happens to me too sometime ^_^
I get this treatment every little bit and I love it. I'm short, so, I guess they are more likely to mistaken me for a woman. I assume that this means that my butt looks good and my hair ain't half bad either. I really love it.
Jeffrey.
It comes with the terroritory. I have had it happen when my hair looks like crap and when it looks good. It's nothing to really complain about, unless it happens around your father.
