I am mistaken all the time like on thurstday when I was searching for a principal's office in one High school.. One my mom's aqquartance who is a teacher in that school asked her if I was her daughter... Than my mom explained that I'm a guy and the teatcher said something like "Boys are so pretty now..."
And It happens all the time... I'm sick and can't wash my head so my hair looks like a bird's nest... :D
Grow a beard! And if you can´t, grab a pen and paint a moustache! Haha, no, don´t do that. Anyways, I think growing a beard or some sort of facial hair is the best way not to get mistaken too often. Maybe clothing can make you look more like a male too. :)
Sounds like a compliment to me.
"Boys are so pretty now..."
It is called adolescence. Some boys are quite 'pretty' or handsome but do not worry as you're body will change in a few years and you will most definetaly look more mascualine (body shapes are different). And it is a compliment. It means you will grow up good looking.
Yeah? But I'm 14!! And what i said is a translation from Lithuanian to English...
14 isn't quite grown up, you know. Just because you are past puberty doesn't mean you won't change a lot in the next ten years. Of course, we keep changing as we get older, and some of the changes aren't so welcome, like grey hairs, but you are still growing up rather than growing old. With luck you can squeeze a couple of decades in between the two!
This could be considered a compliment, but then again every Thursday? Perhaps this person needs glasses?
I would pay no attention to the remarks and not even worry about them. Just be yourself and do your own thing........the heck with what others might say.
Good luck to you in continued success growing out your hair.
nonono... Last Thursday... I had an interview with a high school principal... I don't consider it as a compliment 'cause It's getting on my last nerve...
Although I get a lot of compliments from my mom's friends :)
Don't worry about it. I'm 14 and get called a girl all the time and this one old lady I see 2-3 times a week does it every time, even when I haven't shaved my sideburns off for a week. I've even had a pervert walk up behind me and grab my butt thinking I was a girl.
I once knew a man who was about 30 years old but was only about 5'4" tall. He had long hair and was often come onto in bars by men from the back. His usual response was to turn around and say in his very deep voice, "I'm sorry, but I don't think I'm your type." He also had a thick beard, so the impact was very immediate. He generally did this with a smiling laughing demeanor rather than a confrontational one, and he and the "perpetrator" would have a good laugh over it.

You don't look female to me at all. Those teachers at your high school must be blind. Don't let them discourage you from growing your hair out.
A little bit of facial hair can be helpful, but at age 14 is probably not an option for you yet. As soon as you are able to grow a bit of facial hair, do so. A moustache or a small goatee would be a good choice.
