About a year ago, I was thinking of cutting my long hair short. I decided to cut off about 7 inches instead. My hair was still just past my shoulders but I had instant regret. To this day, I can't figure out why I almost cut it. This bother me to the point that I can't take my mind off the thought. I was fighting with my girlfriend at the time, and she wrote me a letter critizing my hair. A few others made comments that I would look attractive with short hair. Like all of us, I have heard these comments before and never thought of cutting my hair. Why did I almost do it? I am greatful that I didnt. My hair is now past mid back and all one length.

What is it with women these days?
They use to encourage their Man to grow their hair, nowadays it seems that they try to pressure Men to Cut it off.
maybe we Men should tell our Long haired girlfriends and wives who request their Men to cut their hair short to do the same and the same length at that.
I've had some doubts about my hair lately. I put my pic on some of those pic rating sites and got bombed, while N-sync lookalikes were winning.
It might be that most of the voters were 15yr. old girls. Also, the pic is not that great, and I look arrogant. Smiling probably would have been a better bet.
Actually, I don't see how I deserve all those 1's. I start to imagine the pic is terrible, but then I look at the pic, and it's just not THAT bad. A mid-range(on average) score seems more reasonable to me. ( I'm disillusioned with this whole pic rating thing- I disagree with many of the average scores)
I tried http://pickthehottie.com, and lost to a bunch of fresh faced guys, and an old fat guy with a funny hat. I beat a guy on a toilet.
I've withdrawn all the pics except one, because it has a comment section I like.
Actually this site is weird- the highest rated guy rarely breaks a seven.

Unfornately I gave in to pressures from a previous girlfriend and cut off my waist-length hair about five years ago :-(
Needless to say it didn't work out (neither the girlfriend or the short hair) and I'm in the process of growing it out to what I hope will be longer than before! I'm VERY lucky because my new girlfriend adores my long hair, and we're both in a little friendly competition to see who gets to waist-length first! I know she'll win by about a year or so - we'll really be a sight, the two of us going out together with our waist-length hair!
So, in other words, use the "two-week rule" when you're thinking of getting it cut. If you still want to get it cut EACH and EVERY DAY for TWO WEEKS, then, yes you go ahead and cut it. But if there's any SHRED of doubt during that period, than don't cut it !!
Thanks for the input and advice. I still have problems dealing with the fact that I almost cut it. How did you deal with it after you cut your hair? I can't stop thinking about that time.
