Hello!
Well, Ive got the long hair because I always wanted it (since having tried my fathers big fur cap), my type of hair looks good only very short or very long. Also, Ive got a kinda unconventional personality (in good and bad sense), so the long hair for me is something like a skull on table for a magician. But the "awkward stage" is still chasing me, and I feel like there is still a big "Work in progress" sign on my head (or a "Bum" sign, heh heh)
(sorry for missing apostrophes, I write on a laptop with non-english keyboard and I just cant find it)
Question one; My hair are wavy, but the ends of back hair are rather more curled. Id like to know, if I should go to a barber to cut the ends off, is it a common practice? I hope it wont get curled again. Or should I keep my pony-tail grow more and then cut the end off completely? (straight end)
Question two; What to do with shorter strands of hair? Usually I spend some effort to hide them below the longer hair layers, or put em behind ears. So, what did you, mid-back-haired guys do with that?
Question three; How does one get a local forum account? It seems, that many people here has it, so their image appears on the left side of their post. Though I found no /register/ button. Is it just an illusion and all these guys are the crew members, or there is a way to register?
1. The hair in the back is curled because it rests against your collar of your shirt, or your back, etc. which curls it. Do not cut them because they will just get curly again. Wait it out, they will straighten out when they get longer.
2. Not sure what you mean by the shorter strands. If you're talking about the small frizzy looking hair at the top of your head, do not cut them, they will grow to replace the hair that you shed.
3. The picture is due to being a Directory member. You can join here:

Hope this helped, keep it growing!

Thanks, that's just info I needed!
Well, when you mentioned that, I just called to rememberance that about two years ago or earlier I had problems with keeping the hair lie on my head, there were some really disobeying strands on my head top. Even a water didn't help, I could only cut them or go to school with very funny appearance. This is probably the result now.
So, every young guy should have some strong hair fixation gel, as a quick help in "bad hair days", specially if he's trying to have a long hair in future. That should be put in FAQ or somewhere publically. (like in that local probably ironic proverb, "written into a chimney by a black chalk")

hi there,
question 3 has already been answered,so I'll answer the first 2:
1)well,my philosophy is to just wait it out until you reach your goal length, the fastest way to your goal is not having any trims at all.I would think that for guys that have very curly hair in the back there's much less necessity for trims, cause the back curly hairs look shorter and thus there is no "mullet" look.
2)I just put em behind the ears.but everyone's different.others apply gunk to their hair to keep 'em put,or wear hair pins
