I was told several times that Biotin and Mane N Tale Shampoo works good to grow your hair out. I was curious, how fast does Biotin make your hair grow? Also does horse shampoo really help your hair grow faster?
I have heard a lot of things about Mane N Tail shampoo. It was originally made for horses. Word got out that it was great for people, too. Then the formula for people was changed. I don't know why or what the difference is. In any case, supposedly the horse-variety is better, and you can get it only at a horse supply.
I have also heard horror stories of the stuff reacting with other hair products. I don't remember what other product was specifically mentioned. I think it was a dye. Anyway, the reaction caused the shampoo to turn into a contrete-like substance that rendered the treatment a complete disaster.
I've also heard a lot of good things about it. I've tried it myself, but I didn't find it to be any better than any other product I've tried. I have a bottle right here. For the record, the ingredients are:
Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Cocamide DEA, Glycol Distearate, Fragrance, Hydrolyzed Protein, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid, DMDM Hydantoin, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.
Speculation was that the last two ingredients, which are wax ingredients may have been responsible for the gummy mess.
