Hey folks, small time lurker here with a question.
I got my coarse and wavy 4-5 inch hair trimmed and slightly thinned about a month ago. At the time, I was thinking about going up to just 6 inches (yeah, I wanted to do a moptop), so the stylist told me to come back during the summer before she'd thin it some more. Since then, however, I've decided that I'd like it a lot longer -- like down to my back -- but considering that I've had it slightly thinned, will I have problems if I try to grow it out? Should I start over, or should I just let it grow out and hope for the best?
no, don't cut it and regrow it, just keep going
I THINK that I had my hair thinned by some stylist in my first year and look how mine turned out...
I agree with that part, I say let it go a little past goal length (like 2 inches) and then get 2 inches taken off so it will appear thicker, itll be like it was never thinned at all (in theory)
But you have thick curly hair..., wavy hair would be way different. PS it looks amazing
Is thinning just done to the tips of the hair? My hair still looks bulky -- it still wants to poof up instead of lie down, so I'm not exactly sure how much she did.
That's awesome. Did you have to get it trimmed like the other poster advised, or did it turn out like that without trims?
In about a year your gonna like the "poof", I know its annoying now, but when it gets longer most people really like the volume.
Just let it grow - it will come round.
